When the Hawks are hot they're hot! But when we're not we're not! Out 2nd half lineups were awful again. You just cannot keep the Nuggets down for 4 quarters. I think not getting back is his way of dealing with frustration.

Just when you think we've seen everything Jokic can do, he pulls out something like a Euro Step Reverse Layup. I think his bag is so deep he doesn't even know what's in it and just pulls something out at random.
The way people see it: Jokic dosent want to play defense.
The way Jokers see it: He plays defense when he absolutely know he could give a positive impact else we would use that energy on offense , to get those points back.
getting back on defense – on that play? Nope. No chance, KP was steps ahead to start with.
Also, Jokic got pissed off bc the pass was so incredibly bad.
This was probably one of the most two faced games by Jokic we have seen. He was absolutely terrible on defense. He just didn't try… until he did? He went from the worst first half I have ever seen by him to one of the better 2nd halfs I have ever seen by him (except for consistent defense, he only played good defense for a super small amount of time in the 3rd and 4th, but not even the whole quarters).
The Nuggets defense drives me nuts because we see great defense in super small spurts, and then they just suck for long streaks or anytime they get a double digit lead.

I wasn't able to watch game on TV but I could pull up NBA scores and the teams that are playing is shown and the score updates in real time. I can watch a TV show and keep up with the score as shown on the right hand side. Let me tell you I damn near felt a heart attack coming on!!!! I WAS MAD!!!!!!!!!! But I did manage to keep from jumping up and down and shouting as I did not want Doris, my neighbor, knocking on my door!!!!!!! And speaking of Doris, I ran into her yesterday morning as I was taking my trash to dumpster and she was in the courtyard walking her dog. Before I could disappear behind the dumpster she had already caught sight of me and was yelling "Miss Sharon, Miss Sharon, I need to ask you something about that baseball team. Because Doris is EVEN OLDER than I am, I managed to be civil and explained to her ONCE AGAIN that the Nuggets are a basketball team. She paused a moment and then said "oh, that's right. I forgot." and then she asked me where they were located. Me: Denver, Colorado. Doris: after squinching up her face & thinking for a moment, asked me "isn't that where they make that light beer"? 😂😂 Folks, I live in a senior citizen community and you simply cannot make this stuff up!!!!

Nuggets with their two best defenders hurt (both starters) = trash… .but they're so talented that they can still win games like this and come back from 20+ down multiple times. But why do they get in these situations where they play like it's preseason until they "have" to turn it up a notch and play playoff basketball to get back in the game?! It's not sustainable.
The Hawks' whole plan was to get Jokic out of the paint and shoot 3s over him and it worked really, really well. Jokic's defensive liabilities are too big of a weakness. I know it's too much to hope for, but it'd be pretty great if he could improve on the defensive end.
A healthy Spurs team with Wemby-Giannis-Bryant-Castle-Harper-Kornet + others are better than a healthy OKC. So I don't care who the Spurs give up in a Giannis trade or what picks they give up AS LONG AS Castle, Harper, Kornet and Bryant and my amigo David Jones-Garcia are not included in the trade.

Biggest issue the Hawks had in this game is they used both challenges in the 1st quarter. For the rest of the game they couldn't challenge anything, Nuggets ran away with anything they could. Just a great game to watch
