We have all assumed there will be an Anthony Davis trade this season from the Dallas Mavericks, and some new information has come out that makes the situation the much more interesting.

  1. I said a few weeks ago that the raptors would be the best fit and destination for him maybe a Portland idk. I don’t see it being a top top team. It’s going to be a middle tier team to try to jump up.

  2. They should trade Irving and some draft capital for Harden. I'd be afraid of a team with Harden, Davis, and Flag.

  3. Trading away Davis unless you can get back real value is silly. Nico was the distraction, not Davis. Giving Flagg some superstars around him and perhaps winning a few playoff series while he's developing will go a long way to keeping a winning culture.

Davis is still one of the best defenders in the league, his injuries are light despite his undeserved reputation, and he's not even that old.

  4. Hi…? Raptors wanted to back up Jakob not replace him. Besides, they already lo$t intere$t in Anthony D. And, we’re not dumping Quickley. Peace⛹🏽‍♀️

  5. Hot take: Mavs will keep AD and use him as a player coach for the young fella. Conidering they are simmilar frames, AD was also has a respectable playmaking ability. Personally I'll be more inclined to keep him for at the very least this season.
I could see them doing a few more move like Charlotte in their off season. Being a third wheel, moving smaller parts for assets and bench value.

  6. AD must be traded and must be traded for cheaper than his on paper value, If AD is not traded, the "building around Cooper" became too much of a risky task, they will have to tank really hard this season in order to get a high pick since that pick is the only one in 5 years, and they have to get the exact right pick next draft, that's not easy considering the hottest players in that draft mostly are forwards, and it's better getting a guard for Cooper. But if you can just use AD to get back some decent not great value, some first round picks don't even have to be top 7, e.g. 2-3 lottery picks which can draft to be young players better than the usual role players, that way you might just get Cooper enough support without relying on nailing the pick 100%, that way this veteran squad you can resolve slowly thru time, Cooper can work with Klay and PJ for now and transition to a newer roster, and in the meantime the team can just play to whatever result they want, Cooper doesn't have to suffer thru years of deliberate losing like Booker did in phoenix.

  7. As a Pels fan. And I'm sure Mavs fans feel the same way. Don't trade for this dude unless you want to see him on a bi-monthly basis 😂 Lakers fans will tell you different because they had LeBron. The Mavs should try to wrangle some kind of 3 team deal with the Knicks and bucks or cavs. Or something along those lines and let AD do whatever because he's NEVER HEALTHY unless he has someone to carry his ass to the playoffs!

  8. AD has good chemistry with Coop. His best value might be playing with Coop to help his development with carrying the offensive load, and meeting Coopers desire to win. Then 3 years down the road, he will be the Alpha….just a thought on the upside of keeping AD.

  9. Yall be killing me with all these AD trades
Yall never propose trades that make sense for Dallas, each one Dallas loses the trade

  10. Injury prone star. I’m giving away nothing, especially no unprotected picks or young valuable pieces. They’d be lucky to get expiring money and some heavily protected firsts or like four seconds

  11. Mavs got Cooper as part of the Luka deal, so the ‘Sunk Cost’ fallacy isn’t as grand as people think. They’d be happy with more guard depth and there are a few leading guards who might be available. But if they want to move on they’ll take a starting player at SF, SG or C and a bag of chips.

  12. Bollocks simply there is no interest in the market for an injury prone Anthony Davis especially including picks.
    So good luck to Mavs
