  1. If the Celtics are a top 3-4 seed in the East, I believe Joe deserves to be Coach of the Year. Most people predicted the Celtics to be a lottery team this season.

  2. It's been a good season. Expectations weren't on a championship, but still love they way they are playing. Brad Stevens at work.

  3. It's gonna be on Tatum now to fit the system when he comes back. Gonna have to take a backseat to JB for the remainder of this season, JB did it for him for 8 yrs. and when he does head a possession he better play with the proper tempo and intentionality, make use of his teammates and not settle for bad or hero shots. Next yr we'll see how it shakes out and how usage is split, but this yr its JBs team. Tatum can make them better with his return, what few want to say tho is he can also make them worse. He's been on the bench every game and taking a leadership/coaching role with the youngsters. those are good signs for now. Come back, lean into playing in the post, contribute off ball as well as on, commit to helping with rim protection, this team can contend this yr. Joe better follow that recipe too, meaning this is JBs team and the current formula is working, don't reshape everything with Tatum ball and shot dominance.

  4. Sam is catching flak this yr for a couple reasons. 1 his contract kicked in, 2 the young wings have all shown out, 3 his shooting numbers are down. however, he began the season with a back injury, which lingered. only the last 2 games was he not wearing a heating pad while on the bench. His shot is returning now. He's never shot below 40% from deep, ever. not in NBA, G-league, college or hs. 50+ games remaining, his numbers climbing as of late, i dont think the streak is ending this yr. he has the quickest shot on the team and as the video mentioned he can swing a game with his shooting, dare i say a series also as we've seen him go red hot for rather long stretches of schedule in the past. His D is continuously underrated i think probably because hes white and not extremely athletic, but his anticipation on that end is elite, hes holds up in man, communicates well and is just always where hes supposed to be. @ 11M/yr pretty much any team in the league would be happy to have him. He's peak duncan robinson but can and does defend. These young wings can all guard 1-4 (some 1-5), sam cant, but thats ok, let those other guys plug in elsewhere in the lineup while sam remains the backup 3. no need to dump a team friendly contract in the apron era.
