The Trae Young Situation is Getting BAD

The Atlanta Hawks are playing some of the worst basketball in the NBA since Trae Young returned from injury as trade rumors have started to pop up surrounding him and Anthony Davis from the Dallas Mavericks over the last few days. It seems like with the emergence of Jalen Johnson the Hawks may be looking to move on from him and possibly get AD in the process by the NBA Trade Deadline.

  1. I have no problem in trading trae but for AD like cmon. His health is always a factor i dont see any benefit of him coming to atl just to sit on the bench. But we need to talk about porzingis who is just a non factor in offence

  2. the reality is the league is moving away from trae's archetype: small guards who cant play defense. no one really wants him at his price. if he was MLE or cheaper then he'd have a market. that extension desire doesnt help his trade value.

  3. The only reason i watch cone now is to see how long it takes him to name drop OKC on a non OKC video. Today. 40 seconds.😂

  4. Unless the hawks trade for players with potential, idk how they get better. Take a risk with some of these overpaid injury prone stars or get young assets that could become a star one day or could be mid.

  5. What's the point of trading for AD if you're gonna lose Trae? I would think the entire appeal of AD is his insanely ideal fit with Trae being an A+ lob threat and defender

  6. Watching every mavs game and listening to the local content, I can tell you Trae Young is not an option. We want that 1st round pick

  7. The disrespect on Trae is wild. Even if the league has moved on from his archetype of player, some of the comments and statements are treating him like he’s a bum. Take the contract/salary out the equation, every team in the league would want him.

He’s still a top 30-40 player and on his day can single handily provide offence to win any game. Put some respect on his name

  8. Against “my” thunder 😂 god man child fans are embarrassing. They don’t even know you exist and you worship the ground they walk on 😂😂

  9. im actually rather be in the kings situation for once instead of the hawks. but i know the kings will find a way to fuck it up somehow. either we fall out of getting top 3 or they trade the pick for something retarded

  10. It's going to have to be a "bargain sale" on Trae if my hawks wanna move on I hope they do, the keys belong to Jalen johnson. Risache is a nice trade assest NAW has been a beast makes Risache expendable.

  11. The stats say Trae is a bad shooter, a turnover machine, a ball hog, and in contention for worst defender in the league😅😅😅😅😅 what will you give me for that ?😅😅😅😅😅.

  12. Getting AD without keeping Trae would be absolutely stupid for a variety of reasons. The Hawks will do one or the other.

And btw, Trae has been playing off-ball (FINALLY) recently, which is why JJ and Trae have been a good duo

  13. I miss when cone was more like Kenny and looking at the positives of things and not always pointing out “the problem”

  14. You make a great point about Trey being off-ball adding a ton of value. This makes him scale far better with other good players and gives him more efficient, easy baskets. It will require a bit more conditioning, running around like Steph all game is insanely taxing. But being so light on his feet definitely helps in this regard, requiring far less energy than a larger / heavier player.

Even Luka, the best on-ball player we have, has added a bit of an off-ball game while at the Lakers. This saves him a bit of energy, allowing him to carry more in stretches where it is important, or to add a bit more defensively.

  15. I can't take this disrespect anymore. Trae has been Atlanta for the past 6-7 years 🗿. These mfs wanna move on from him when he's exactly what this team needs. IDC if they've lost recently with him he's not getting full minutes and coming off injury.

  16. Nothing is “bad”, “desperate”, or “getting worse” in ATL, the media is simply setting Trae up to be the scapegoat for the year, and by their silence ATL is letting them.

  17. Gonna be funny when Trae young gets traded to the wizards or Sacramento. There he can talk to his young guys and tell them back in his day he use to give the Knicks problems

  18. Probably would have been worth mentioning for the Bulls both Coby White and Josh Giddey went off injured. I know they're not the biggest names and it wasn't the biggest game but surely worth commiting the 5-10 seconds to.

  19. He’s not a fan of basketball. Kawhi dropped an unseen statline and gets 0 talk from cone. I know u wanna see okc get a top pick but be fair 🥴

  20. Quin has been disappointing too, wanted to see a lot of big lineups that cause havoc defensively but he’d rather try and break the three point record with these small ball lineups
