The Lakers just need better defense the current defense is horrible they don't need to look for scores at the trade deadline. Play expect Luka and Reeves to score 30 + every game but that's not how you win consistently

Laker fan for 50 years and this team isn’t good. Labron looking his age, Bronny taking up space on the bench, a bunch of guys that are on min. Contracts that most nights can’t shoot or defend. Luka and Austin are the only dependable offense but can’t defend. They’re just devoid of athleticism and look slower than these younger teams. I don’t know if Pelinka is up to the re build that needs to happen but it needs to happen.

You can't l build around Luka. He's not built for a long term (3-5) yr run. Beyond an inability to play defense he's not tough and resilient. Detroit wouldn't trade Cade for Luka no way. He doesn't play with pace. His teammates slow down for him. Luka relies on soft regular season calls from the refs which will not work in the playoffs.
There continues to be a secret team the Lakers have. The hospital unit that seem to be out of the lineup because of injuries.
