I really don’t care for the rule or even understand why it’s a rule but then again, i’m not an NBA player and the pioneers of the game made this rule. Respect the game. On the other side of it, you have people who complain about stat padding or whatever it’s called.

The losing team comes down court playing 100 mph trying to score until the game ends but the winning team is supposed to stop trying to score. I think if the losing team is conceding defeat THEY can dribble out the clock and waste THEIR possessions and maybe the winning team will follow suit. But as long as you’re playing hard and trying to score, so are we 🤷🏾♂️
If one of the bulls decided to "play hard" and clothesline Giannis our the air with 2 seconds on the clock… it would be WW3 on that player.
If a team is doen 25 with 15 seconds and they keep playing the foul game because "still time on the clock" we would call them insane.
Not too mention…. these stats matter come contract nwgotiation time…. it can be the difference in literal millions by scoring an extra 2 points a game…
