Steve Nash wasn’t Steve Nash his 3rd season. He scored under 10 points a game and about 5 assists a game his 3rd year.
When Book don’t get calls he keeps trying to get ref to blow whistle, start of season he wasn’t complaining that much, now every time the camera shows he’s complaining to refs and he has the right but it’s not working , the stars need whistle to be stars book don’t have to make shots to be impactful he defends he rebounds he dishes . Book has an all around game . Rex Chapman said if he came back in another life he would wanna play like d book . His team shows him love when being interviewed that should tell you all you need to know .
Gilespie has a little Nash in him in his shooting but his defense he’s more like Stockton
On TODAYYYYY'S show! This team will be a MONSTER once Green returns. They all truly believe they can win it all. Ya never know.
This is the most interesting Sun's season in many years.
Plus there are so many interesting things coming up soon. The return of arguably two of the best players on the team. Book had 30 night before last. He is clearly frustrated from bad officiating. He still hustles and winning still seems his highest priority. I hope help returns soon.
The thing I find impressive about Gillespie is that he had a tough cpl nights once all the scouting reports caught up to him and he started getting new defensive looks. When he first started getting planned for he looked a little flummoxed, sped up, etc. BUT, he seems to have adjusted to the adjustments and is right back to doing what he was doing before he started drawing heat.
The guy has staying power if he can adapt like that.
Fleming might be bit like Jayden McDaniels. Is a difference though. Jayden is a small forward and Fleming is a true power forward
Again Fleming was taken second round but he’s a legit top 20 first round talent!
The wizards had some really good 3 point shooters and that's what kept them in the game. Their also a young energetic team as well as the suns.
Book will be better once Allen and green are in the lineup

The Suns played three games in four nights and looked exhausted. That is why they did not play well.

So the point of view that you're speaking from is playoff heater book, that's no longer him. He's just now, after so many games going to himself. First in reorchestrating his playstyle so it may turn on later, but majority of the time in the past season's queen book was the first guy out of the gates.When it came to scoring.

Book's been a fantastic team captain, making good decisions and setting teammates up selflessly. He hasn't seemed like the main shot maker because his job is no longer just isolatation scoring. Not to mention he's been getting the star treatment from our opponents' defense but not from the refs, which is the worst of both worlds. I'm not worried; I think his play will get stronger as the team structure around him solidifies. That's gonna happen as Jalen gets reincorporated into the lineup.
Is it possible that they want to play Nick as much as possible, within reason as the third center, to boost any value going into the deadline?

Booker has never been overly athletic. He has been the main distributor for this very unselfish team. Going for 40 or 50 points is the old loosing Book. To win he /Booker is not asked to go supernova. Stay in the lane that the journey per game is asking for. Booker scoring less and winning is a good formula . Collin and Brooks are the most grateful for the way Book is taking care of business. Let’s go Big Orange and purple. Do Not hate you or Love you. Enjoy the platform.
Seems like Suns are giving Richards more run due to him potentially being on the trading block. I’d expect Maluach to see decent minutes after the trade deadline.

Book has not been struggling per say. It’s the team playstyle and composition that lowers his time per possession, encourages the swing or extra pass that takes away assist numbers. D book gets ALL the defense. He gets grabbed and hugged every play and when he gets an open drive he gets doubled. Teams can continue that formula and Book will take the tough hardest earned scoring and it’ll be the opposing teams ass when these other guys get one on one scoring and eat up. Eventually teams are going to have to adjust to that and Book will eat. On top of that Green and his play style will open up a world of free ones for Book. If not then Green might average 30+ if teams continue their “stop Booker at all costs” defense
I say it again, book does not take away from others scoring, he enhances their opportunities. We saw this the few games Book missed this season. Colin cannot handle the “Booker defence treatment”. With KD he never made others better. It reminded me of a less efficient CP3 play-style. Slow paced half court get me the ball at the top of the key and play to the end of the shot clock. Except for KD it was high post. Booker moves the ball quickly to the strengths of this offence and continues to draw doubles nd triples. Allows us to play full court with energy. The threes are sooooo sustainable. You’ll always have down games or stretches. They’re all having career years because Books magnetism. When he’s out, they don’t shoot.
I'm not too concerned about Book. I would much rather see him have a slump this time of the year than at the end when it really counts. He has great role players near him and they are all stepping up. It's all about the win, and Book has helped secure them. Go Suns!
Ok I see why Eddie Johnson said you want some attention Ben. I rock with you bro but saying Devin isn’t the top 2 shot maker is crazy! Dillon and Colin are making their shots because the other teams are more concerned about Devin not going off on them and making them look bad. Look at the first game at N.O. Jose Alvarado was guarding Devin 1-1 and he had a great game. Other games he is getting double teamed. When Jalen comes back Devin will be more consistent and effective
i think richards played to up his trade value and boost his confidence. richards is a NOW problem. we need to up his value before we trade him. after all star break maluach will be getting those minutes regardless if richards is traded or not
Bookers' issue is he's not ready to play. Missed bunnies, missed free throws late close outs these are signs that he isn't ready to play. His pre-game routine needs to change. He looks lazy and unprepared to play. Brooks, Gillespie, Dunn, Goodwin, They all have motors and they're tough book not so much.
