Are the Spurs really a bad matchup for the Thunder? This video breaks down why San Antonio beat Oklahoma City in three straight games in December, behind Victor Wembanyama defending Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Stephon Castle, De’Aaron Fox and rookie Dylan Harper.

  1. Injuries is how you defeat the champs. OKC is the only team in history that can beat a healthy OKC team

  2. So this is also basically why OKC struggled against the Mavs few seasons ago. Just have very elite driving guards like Luka and Kyrie, bonus they also have really good length with Gafford and Lively.

  3. So the issue is chet not only not dominating his match up but not even being average against a small guard

  4. The problem with OKC is their offense is too one-dimensional. As Denver demonstrated last year in the playoffs, doubling SGA and forcing the rest of them to score was the way to go, and Denver damn near won the series. Having an alien in the lineup is nice, but any team with mobile bigs can apply this scheme and cause trouble with OKC.

  5. Playing with Wemby as a guard has to be so insanely fun. You got a crazy lob threat to pass to who’s insanely tall and can shoot 3’s to pull out the shot blocker 😭

  6. Spurs having tall guards that are athletic and can switch on multiple positions helps a ton. Plus those same guards can all find the open man, it's perfect for Spurs basketball
