been patiently waiting for this
Good win. Team chemistry looking good.
@es did you see the report the wizards want a 1st round pick from the hawks to eat trae youngs contract?
i think the risk of having trae's contract on the books is too high in that they cant build a team after having so much money invested in the starting line up and will make the team too top heavy. his defence would also cause problems in that the raptors have too many defensive liabilities as is. he may have better offence, but in playoffs they hunt defensive liabilities.
I know you try to avoid copyrights violation but pausing that video is making me dizzy. So, go and find out who you must pay for those rights and let the video play. you could do a better job.
Great analysis as usual…So nice to see Grady getting his mojo back…CMB COMING ALONG NICELY 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 GREAT TEAM CHEMISTRY 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 GOOOOOOOOOO RAPTORS ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
cmb looks good when hes locked in, gradey improving on the defensive end and raptors need to figure out how to keep 7 footers on the floor
He was drafted 9th in a very strong draft class. He better be capable of being on the floor and play meaningful minutes
I feel like CMB's physicality shows up often on defence. He's able to leverage his above-average lateral quickness in combination with his strength to stay in front of guys, and chest them up. With the ball in his hands, though, he doesn't play with a lot of force just yet. He's smart enough that he can use guile and finesse in most situations, but I look forward to the day when he's confident enough to move guys in the post, or finish strong when he catches in the dunker spot. He's not as strong or as long as Scottie is, but I feel like he will eventually be able to finish plays in a similar style. It's part of how he subsisted as a scorer in college, if I remember correctly.
CMB developing like a young Draymond Green
I've been thinking the same thing about the Sixers. Feels like that's going to be the 4/5 matchup, question is if the Raptors can hold on to home court advantage.
I'm still pissed off that they lucked into Veejay Edgecombe.
Good to see someone FINALLY having good words to say about Gradey. You listen to the fanbase in general, they are ready to call him a bust already.
Yeah, I found that Gradey has been doing the little things surprisingly very well, which I thought should be the last improvement additions. Glad you mentioned this too. i.e. successful on the hard complex detail stuff.
9:20 – no players, on either side reached 20 points. How rare are these types of games.
9:58 – I truly think, if he can try and play, the way Mattise Thybulle plays, when he loses the ball handler(or off the ball) , then he'll be ok.
These Raps are passing the ball just as good, if not better than any of Lowry’s teams.
Thanks for the breakdown Es.
Question: I have read on two reputable sites that while non-guaranteed contracts become guaranteed on the 10th, the deadline for waiving is 5pm on the 7th because of a 48 hour processing period. Is this accurate? If so, we won't see BAMBA again unless he is waived and signed to a ten day or the Raps decide to keep him for the year without really playing him. As Darko is saying absolutely nothing about Bamba, most likely he is gone and we will never know if he could fit and contribute. What a waste.
defense win games that is why CMB’s defense suffocating..
Hopefully Gradey can continue this play and be more consistent.
CMB has great potential. But based on the forward depth chart for the Raptors he will have to be a bench starter at the 5 or 4…yes bench starter. He will have to come off the bench just as much as he starts. You got Mamu, CMB. Barnes, Poelt, Mo Bamba…they have to figure those guys all out
maybe Darko finally realizes CMB should be playing like 25 mins a game at least. Hornets are another small team as well surely he starts again on Wednesday
CMB's got quick hands… he's got good intuition of the game and where the ball is and may land.
Still had Mono 2 years ago. To me he’s still not back to himself yet. He was way quicker before mono
Love the way CMB doesn't waste a lot of energy when playing defense. Like RR observes, he positions himself so well he can commit while being able to recover if the opposing player makes a counter move. I sort of remember similar comments about Marc Gasol when we got him who was able to play angles so well that he could be in two places at the same time if required.
