The Pistons’ winning formula and Ivey’s acceptance of his new responsibilities spark hope for a deep playoff push.
Key topics include Isaiah Stewart’s elite rim protection and why his defensive dominance demands recognition in the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year conversation. If you can trade Tobias and Levert and a couple firsts for Trey Murphy or Mpj you do it. But it is 50/50
I see it more as a 65/35 in favor of NOT making a move. There is no player that is worth 2 or three players on this roster; each man has a role and fits nearly perfectly as is. But I do see the logic that the window is small.
This whole logic is DUMB… Last season, the ONLY reason THJwas a starter was because Ivey got hurt.. but for some reason THIS season, Duncan Robinson is SUPPOSED to be this season's THJ but he is the INCUMBENT starter?!?? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!👀👀🧐🧐🤷🤷🤦🤦
Only move they should do is convert Jenkins contract to full NBA instead of the "two way deal" Jenkins currently have. The chemistry they have is amazing
There’s a lot of scenarios where they can land someone like Sam houser or Jalen Smith and not solve everything but solve some of the issues. It’s going to be a slow trade season right up til the deadline… then what’s interesting is this can definitely be a year where the pistons get impactful players off the buyout market in February.
Ain't nothing guaranteed
Ku sympathizes with Ivey stans with a Ted talk about how he's a really good 8th man…
I am all for us making a move, but you will lose some of the depth this team has. And you have to consider the guy that they get is going to BUY IN, this isn't a 2K game after all.
Let's stop all the nonsense. Detroit will not keep Ivey! His trade value is rising again. He will be gone by February. Ivey clearly is not happy. All he is doing is auditioning for his next team. Hence, why his effort and numbers are rising. Also, this is a contract year, so Ivey wants to secure a bag!
Bro saw my tweet and said "I like Jaden now guys no really"
Ivey is the X factor in the playoffs
It's kind of wild how people don't realize how hard it is to come back after a whole year
I never understood the Ivey hate. I really do think he can be our #2 option
They should play Ivey the way they play Duncan. He could be that added 3pt specialist the Pistons needs
Ivey is starting to come along. And even though his minutes are limited, he's part of the Pistons rotation more than Dannis and Sasser. So with this, I'd wait and see if Ivey's improved play is what the Pistons are missing which is a secondary scorer and 3pt shooter. And these past few games, you can see signs he ticks those boxes.
Trade bait.
You gotta make a move. Next year is not guaranteed
Im sorry everyone is giving you shit for ivey
Maybe im trying to have my cake and eat it too but i think there is a way to get the 4 we need while still “staying the course”. I think MPJ would only cost Tobias+2 1sts. Maybe thats on over pay but 2 firsts isnt ruining our ability to make a big trade in the long run especially if one is our 26 1st. Or even trey murphy would probably cost tobias+ivey+3 1sts. Which is high but still not depleting all the picks and keeping most of the young guys
Stew should definitely be a top vote getter for Sixth Man of the Year. He impacts the game as much as anyone else in the league coming off the bench.
Ku be tripping
Those who disrespect Ivey are running out of excuses. Why should Ivey have to figure out how he fits with this team or what his role is? I don't remember another player being required to that.
After Gores told Monty Williams to play Ivey he drop 37 points playing with Killian Hayes and 34 playing with Cade.
That first segment was painful for Ku
When you talk about Ivey it feels like you hate him lol the been gone so long and when he came back we have the best record in the east so he couldn't get caught up to the game the same way he would have if we were losing
I would make a move, even if it's marginal to improve the team. I lean on the side of aggression, but being smart with the moves they make. In the playoffs teams will game plan to take Cade away, they need other players that can put the ball in the basket. They won't be able to get as many transition points as was the case in last year's playoffs.
