HEROICS: Orlando Magic’s Paolo Banchero SAVES Team Again, But Why Do They Keep Needing Miracle Wins?

The Orlando Magic escaped the Brooklyn Nets in overtime thanks to a banked-in 3-pointer by Paolo Banchero at the final buzzer. It is yet another clutch moment for this Magic team that was preceded by an epic fourth-quarter collapse.

Why is the team struggling to close out games? Why do they need so many heroic moments?

The Magic have had several instances where they went into cruise control too early and gave away big leads, forcing their star players to come to attention and save the game. Orlando could very easily be in a much worse position because so many of their game sare coming down to these last moments.

How will the Magic escape this cycle? And how much of these issues are part of the team’s overall issues this season?

  1. I know Paolo’s been back for a while a now, but I’m hoping that game winner finally does something to his confidence again.

  2. The first quarter the Nets double teamed the shit out of Banchero and Mosley did nothing. In the fourth quarter the Magic played awful and Mosley got a lot to do with it. He is terrible coach and he needs to go

  3. Mosleys post game interviews, especially tonight shows exactly what the issue is. No accountability, no standard and no self respect. And these reporters need to be asking tough questions after games like this. Watch mose interview you'd think it was a good game. Bailed out by a 1/100000 shot

  4. "I dont care it counts" is such a loser mentality. We have higher goals than relying on a miracle to beat the brooklyn nets and playing awful, uninspired no effort basketball for a month straight

  5. No keep talking about how bad Paolo plays and that we need to play Panda more, stay on that side… Yall didn't learn with Shaq and Dwight, you need another one…

  6. Exciting to see a gamer winner, but it’s bitter sweet being against the nets. We have so much to correct, I hope this is the equivalent of the Desmond bane Portland spark for the team. I still have my doubts about Coach Mo but we will let time tell.

  7. We stole that one and I'm mad about how they didn't close out in regulation. But, boy does it feel good to watch a buzzer beater go in. Even Paolo said it was lucky. I appreciate the honesty and still feel good about it!

  8. Why don’t you just ask a question and stop beating around the bush.? The problem is not the players. The problem is not the general manager. The problem is the coach. Just asked a question. Everything you stated today is a coaching problem. They don’t run any actions they don’t run any plays to put Paolo in a good position to score or give him an advantage. They just hand him the ball and he has to run through a wall to get to the basket. I would say that’s a coaching problem.
The GM saw the problem that’s why he brought in new coaches. But the real problem is the head. Coach can’t put his players in the best positions to score the head. Coach can’t set up a play or some kind of action to give his players and advantage where they are strong at

  9. I was pissed off by that first quarter steal, then flubbed behind the back pass that lead to a turnover from Banchero…why the ?@!! are you getting cute? So many long shots too. Too many missed finger rolls. They can’t afford to mess around so much.

  10. The bad offense that keeps happening down the stretch falls on Mosley. It's something he doesn't have an answer for at the moment. So why wouldn't he be at fault? His offense has always been suspect (players 3pt percentage dropping drastically coming to the team) and the 4th quarter meltdowns are just a manifestation of a Mosley lead offense.

  11. i know, p5 had 9 turnovers but DOESNT MATTER AT ALL, last night, he put the ball on the basket and save the orlando's back-to-back, i love paolo and he deserves the moment, the team has issues yet but, see paolo playing good like last season is good as hell. with wagner's bro back, the effort will back to, less turns, i am 100% confident with this team, good days of orlando magic basketball is coming

  12. i click off the video when you say TYUS needs a BIGGER ROLE. We need this man off the team asap and give every single minute to Jase. Jase has better defense than Tyus. Jase is like D- defense, Tyus has F- defense.

  13. Wendell carter is the one who allowed his guy to outhustle him for that offensive rebound in crunch time before paolo made that last shot. He SUCKSSS BADLY.
