I'm a Hawks fan, and the writing was on the wall. Trae Young on his current contract is a net negative. Just watch him get blown by on every possession and not put in effort and actively make the defence worse.
And his offense has fallen off a cliff too. He misses easy floaters and gets blocked at the rim way too much, can't shoot any threes other than the logo shots where no one is contesting him.
I might come off as a salty ex or something, but I've been wanting this guy off my team since last year. Just the lack of effort to play defence and get involved off-ball in offense. Off-court, I love Trae, one of the best leaders this team has and an amazing person. I wish him all the best tho

I really hope we hold out for a real star (aka trading the pelicans pick plus risacher and whoever else the bucks need for giannis) but inevitably we will trade for AD and he will play 25 more games this season and we will finish in the play in like always.
