A BIG NO! Just like I have stated in past posts, the Raptors don't need the expense of AD when his availability is so bad that many of us know him as Always Disabled or Street Clothes. If the Raptors are going to use IQ, Jacob, Ochai or Gradey and draft capital then they need to focus on a mobile big who is reliable at rebounding, rim protection and passing. I like Nic Claxton and his contract and would be willing to use the 2026 1st RD pick and 2026 2nd RD (via LAL).

AD is made of glass but to be fair RJ is proving to be more and more injury prone over the years. Last 2 seasons he missed 24 games each, and this season he's already missed 19. Not a good trend.
Trading for AD significantly raises our ceiling but also lowers our floor as well due to his injury history.

NO! I don't buy into this sudden revelation that AD's injury is not so bad and he'll be re-evaluated in 6 weeks. How convenient for the Mavs. AD is not magically going to get healthy. He doesn't want play centre and he wants to go to Miami. He is 32, his salary and extension demands are out of the park and the Mavs are still looking for 2 of our starting line up and maybe draft capitol? NO. Let's focus on solving our problems: a true centre that can earn his salary NOW, getting under the cap.
My final trade advice for Bobby. Keep IQ, but acquire 2 solid centers. Jay Huff and Kel'el Ware.
1. Trade Temple, Agbaji and Shead + 2026 first-round and second-round picks for Mathurin and Jay Huff.
2. Trade Mogbo and Walter + 2027 first-round pick for Kel'el Ware.
