The Atlanta Hawks Just SAVED Their Season…
It became clear that the Hawks were going to trade franchise legend Trae Young before their January 7th game against the Pelicans. Including that game, Atlanta is 3-0 since making that decision, improving their record without Trae this season. They improved to 18-13 without Trae this season, compared to just 2-8 when he played. They recognized that they were worse with him on the floor, and pulled the trigger to get him out. It seems like the right one. They currently sit in 9th place in the Eastern conference, but the winning percentage without him would place them 5th. It’s a noticeable difference, and one they likely will continue to trend towards now that he’s gone. They were heavy underdogs against the Warriors in Golden State, and handled their business in a 13-point victory that honestly felt larger than that. It was the debut for CJ McCollum, and he wasn’t fantastic or anything. 12 points on five for 14 shooting. But he was a +19 and clearly had a positive impact whenever he was on the floor, more than you could say for Trae. But more so than just CJ, it allowed the now cornerstones of their franchise to flourish. Over those last three games, Jalen Johnson has averaged 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists per game. Nickeil Alexander-Walker has averaged 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Dyson Daniels has even started to finally turn it around putting up 14 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2.3 steals per game looking like the version we knew and loved from a year ago. The Atlanta Hawks SAVED Their Season.
Think about subbing, I’m on the road to 15k!!!

The Hawks made Golden State look like light work. Watch us work against the Lakers on Tuesday
Just one game, everyone thought that Hawks have won the championship 😂😂😂
CJ can go get a bucket. That's exactly what we needed.
Golden state not that good lol. This not golden state 5 years ago. Relax lol
I always liked CJ.
So happy to have him on my team !!!
Great addition for the Hawks
Okay so the hawks are playoff team then. JJ is gonna carry the team to the first round right? Anything less is a failure
Who would thought having a bunch of tall players with big wingspan means better defense? Hawks Starting 5 ATM
Nickeil Alexander-Walker 6'5 with a 6'9 wingspan
Dyson Daniels 6'7 with a 6'10.5 wingspan
Jalen Johnson 6'8 with a 6'11 wingspan
Vít Krejčí 6'8 with a 6'9 wingspan
Onyeka Okongwu 6'10 with a 7'2 wingspan
And this is with Kristaps Porziņģis 7'2 with a 7'6 wingspan out with an injury
Golden State is not even good this year 😂
Atlanta bout to be on the map whether yall like it or not….
Well, the Atlanta Hawks did NOT make the Los Angeles Lakers look like light work. While the Lakers didn't exactly blow out the Hawks, but a win is a win, and unfortunately for the Hawks in their recent loss against the Lakers, a loss is a loss.
Onyeka Okongwu and Mouhamed Gueye both are natural Power Forwards, and both are undersized at the 5 spot (Center position), while Jalen Johnson is a natural Small Forward, and is undersized at the 4 spot (Power Forward position). Hawks Center 6'11 N'Faly needs more playing time to back up Onyeka Okongwu.
