Honestly, if we’re not getting a centre what’s the point. Trading for injured players (JA, AD, Sabonis) is not the answer. Poetl has been out for over a month and longer. Why go for players that probably won’t be playing.

The Ja Morant reports are very very, very real. The good news is just about every variant includes Zach Edey fixing Centre position up at the same time.
The bad news is it centred around Ja Morant, and the unpredictable 6 inches between his ears.
Raptors have the best doctors in the league. They can keep him healthy Ish while he flies, but it’s extremely difficult to know when the Raptors read the riot act to him on the trade ( e.g. We’re happy to have you. This is what’s different between us in Memphis and this is the expectations of your behaviour on and off the court – and you need to fall in line with the fact that this is Scottie Barnes team) Raptors culture – and if he’s really to actually do that.
I’m not sold he really is able to do it.
I don't want to see Ja in a Raptors jersey. He's got a lot going on right now and is confrontational with everyone, the ego is out of control. Also we can't legally own firearms in Canada 🙃
The only advantage of getting Ja is to dump Quickly's contract and maybe he will work out and the Raps would save a year.
These other big trades are just money problems down the road. Maybe ego issues too.
IQ + Ochai + Gradey + JMo = Collin Sexton + Josh Green + Pat Connaughton + Moussa Diabate.
We lose the trade slightly on player value: We would need to sign Sexton but could have him and Shead share PG rest of the year and offer him a a small raise to 3 years at $20 mil per. I think IQ could go back to his 6th man combo guard with them and be better and surprisingly has better def than Sexton. Gradey and Ochai are better now and more upside than green and older Pat C. There is a benefit to them to keep adding that talent and I believe JMo can be signed in future to replace role of Grant since he is not hitting 3s as much. We get away from IQ contract and add a C in Moussa that has energy and rebounds well. You pair him with Sandro and CMB less at C to help this year. Pat C money can be used to sign Sexton small raise and Sandro to bigger raise. Green can work in with Ja’Kobe as part of the small wing group while keeping RJ.
Tired of ja talk. We are almost dead last in 3 point shooting. We dont have pieces to put around him.
Forget Morant, they need a serviceable centre. If they can’t trade for a decent centre because of the expensive contracts, why did they get rid of Mo Bamba? Ridiculous.
