Itâs just depressing ngl
Wemby is HURTING the team. How? At the beginning of the year, everyone said Wemby was an MVP candidate using low post moves, dominating the Mavs using his height and his footwork down in the post. But now, he is shooting the majority of his shots from the perimeter and beyond the arc. He does not use his physical gifts in the paint – no can guard him down low and it opens up perimeter shots for his teammates. When Wemby was out and the Spurs were rolling, we had Kornet focused on the post, he would get a lot of open looks, teams had to crash on him which opened up shooting and driving lanes. Now Wemby is back and he wants to play like a guard – its NOT what the team needs. The Spurs need a presence in the post which Wemby could provide if he embraced it.
Effort tonight was the problem. What else do yall need to be motivated!!!!!!!!
I Love my guysđThis one was painful though. I kept seeing Luke and Victor wide open under the basket when we chose to go for a three instead, and then they stopped cutting altogether đŹ This team fouled a lot because they canât compete with Luke & Victor. We shouldâve kept feeding the big dogs. It wouldâve opened up the perimeter for more intentional swing passing to the open man as well. âIf it ainât brokeâŠâ Conversely, if the perimeter isnât happening, take it to the hole a few times. đ€đ©¶
Everything is bad except the return of Vassell, we almost fall to 3rd if only DEN played…
