Where Do Steph Curry & The Warriors Go From Here + Rockets & Lakers Comeback Wins

Adam Mares and Tim Legler break down the biggest NBA games and storylines from around the league, starting with the impact of Jimmy Butler’s brutal injury and what it means for the Golden State Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga’s role, and the broader question of relying on aging stars. They dive into the Houston Rockets’ impressive comeback win over the Spurs, highlighting their elite defense, clutch shot-making down the stretch, recent surge in form, and what pieces still matter most for Houston’s ceiling in the Western Conference. The conversation also covers the Lakers’ win over the Nuggets and how Los Angeles’ second-half defense exposed Denver’s lack of depth, plus standout performances from Immanuel Quickley and a big night in Utah that dropped Minnesota in the standings. The episode wraps with Legler’s thoughts on Jalen Green’s return and how it could shape the Sun’s trajectory moving forward.

  1. The Warriors’ mishandling of this Kuminga situation is their biggest fumble, even worse than the Wiseman selection. This guy will be a 20 ppg scorer anywhere he goes and the Warriors are going to be terrible after Steph retires.

  2. The warriors are treating Kuminga as Tramp treats Greenland. He shouldn't have signed in the Summer…

  3. There was demand for Kuminga in the offseason. The Suns and Kings both wanted him. So I don’t understand that comment from the gm. It’s rude and a lie. Also how is Kuminga supposed to be consistent and improve when he doesn’t get consistent minutes? They need to be investigated for the way they treat him. Ruined the first part of his career by letting him rot on the bench instead of trading him when there WAS interest just 6 months ago.

  4. Sad for Jimmy but the warriors were not contenders with him anyway. But I know everyone wants another ring for Curry so it’s something that’s constantly talked about as if they had a chance to win a championship with that old team

  5. my 2 cents on the Nuggets getting outrebounded without Jokic

it's too bad Valanciunas is hurt too, it would've been interesting to see how they fair with Valanciunas

  6. Jonathan Kuminga is a "fairly efficient player?". He is inefficient at the rim, at mid range, at 3 pt line, and at the FT line. He doesn't go all out and play defense like Moses Moody or Gui Santos which is why Kerr doesn't play him. Can he average 20 points playing for Kings and Wizards? Sure.

  7. The loss of Jimmy is so heart-breaking for the Dubs, for Jimmy, and the their fans. I was starting to believe they might be able to make a run in the playoffs this year. Now the rest of the season looks like a struggle.

  8. Jalen Green is finally going to get unlocked. His athleticism and Ott's mind will be fun to watch. Udoka is a great defensive minded coach but historically not a great offensive coach. Ott is way better for Jalen imo

  9. Luka's best game of the year, even his activity on defense was alright, but overall his scoring and playmaking was top tier. So good to watch

  10. Butlers done ā€œbut the next year? The poor guyā€¦ā€ well yeah rehab is gonna be tough and yeah he’s 37 but there’s 1 million guys out there and buy 1 million I mean millions and millions of guys that can hardly walk from age 37 to 87 or 97 millions of guys struggling with mobility, and that means women too and they are poor and struggling but Jimmy made $50 million every year for years and can afford to rehab as only someone with hundreds of millions of dollars can do, so yeah poor Jimmy…

  11. Steph without a second option in this season and may be next season if Butler doesn't come back, means he'll have to carry the load. That's a tough ask.

  12. BUT the Nuggets created a lot of good shots, they jusr missed them, THJ is not going to go 0-8 from 3 again, they missed soooo many bunnies in the paint. It was more Nuggets offense failing them, not Lakers defense

  13. according to you guys, jimmy butlers's impact as of last week was huge, but you said the rockets are underachieving even though they've been out of fred all season and without DFS most season (with tari out a lot too). yet KD's impact isn't much according to Legs

  14. Thunder are so much better than every other team that they’ve been in a slump for a month and still have the best record during that time.

  15. Warriors could have moved Kuminga this off-season for Monk and a pick but forced him to resign because they needed more help to keep Steph relevant. Now they're screwing him over again, and expecting him to just be cool with it again. Completely eff'd over the first five years of this guys career.

    It's the Celtics and IT 2.0. #freejk

  16. Dubs want to say we're not paying Kuminga, and also not trading him. They should be getting creamed by national media, but they're all busy trying to get Giannis to GS to bail them out.

  17. Yeah, it's sad for Jimmy that he's done his knee but let's face it his next 12 months he'll be okay earning 50 plus million a year whilst doing rehab.

  18. Dunleavey is a disrespectful piece of šŸ’©. They want to value him as a positive asset in trades but devalue him verbally. There are trades on the table.

  19. How is Tim not seeing that Kuminga does NOT make quick and good decisions with the ball, and can't shoot. How does he fit with the warriors? He doesn't.

  20. crazy, if gsw loses their second-best player, it's a disaster they can't hope to recover from, but the nuggets have stayed afloat just fine without THE ABSOLUTE BEST PLAYER IN THE HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE. what a joke

  21. Tim Legler is spot on and absolutely correct. Kuminga is the Warriors 2nd best scorer now and the Warriors have to play him and take advantage of his explosive scoring even if it takes away from their system. Kerr is just blindly and rigidly holding on to the system and not being flexible enough to adapt and adjust their offense to maximize Kuminga's skillset. The Warriors management have become so lost and confused ever since Jerry West left.

  22. The Jimmy trade was never a good trade to begin with. That was simply a sloppy 2nd trade out of desperation. The Warriors traded for a 35-year-old with an injury history who likes to defer passes to G-LEAGUERS at the cost of 54 million a year. You can get Moody to drive and dish at the low cost of 11.5 million. A month ago, I wanted the Warriors to trade Jimmy for 2-3 solid players. I've said it then and I'll say it now. I would much rather have 2.5 Norman Powells (51 million total) over 1 healthy 35-year-old Jimmy (54 million). Too late now. Mike Dumbleavy seems to be an incompetent puppet for Joe LameAss.

  23. Don't you worry about warriors, Podz the most favorite player of daddy Kerr will save warriors and win a ring all because of very good stats of podz the best player of warriors by far. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Sorry I can't stop laughing while writing my comment. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
