The Bucks Face a Turning Point as Giannis’ Injury Reshapes the Season
Milwaukee Bucks face a critical turning point as Giannis Antetokounmpo’s latest injury threatens to derail their playoff ambitions. Does this mark the beginning of an unexpected tank, especially with a valuable 2026 draft pick in play?
Justin Garcia and Camille Davis dissect the Bucks’ options at the trade deadline, the lack of youthful impact from recent draft classes, and the urgent need for a roster refresh under the pressure of the new CBA. 1 of 2 things gotta go, either the entire roster + Doc or Giannis. What is more likely to happen?
they need to do something by the deadline. tanking or not they need to prove to us that they are building towards something the team curretly is just embarassing
Tank time. Next year maybe we resurrect a bit and build around giannis
Should have already been tank mode but hopefully that is the clear plan. If Giannis isn’t happy it would be prudent to see, working with him, what they could get for him now.
Look at Giannis last 5 years avg 65-70 games played. That average will likely go down in future. That is troubling.
Unless he is willing to suffer through the reality of this and commit long-term then do what is right for him and the franchise.
Everybody else except Rollins and the future draft picks should be available for right price. And the plan should not be to tank and then trade that pick whether Giannis stays or leaves. For the Bucks to get another real superstar they need draft luck (like 2013).
We need to fire doc. Our season is over anyway at this point. We should be selling some of these older players too I feel. I love bobby, but sell him while his value is higher along with the remainder of aging assets. I don't want to get rid of Giannis, but send him somewhere where he can compete, he is probably getting hurt because he his pushing himself to hard to save this sorry team.
Jon Horst can't draft for shit, anyway.
Could have tanked from the start and kept Dame but the bucks franchise can't even get tanking right at this point.
Quack Rivers been tanking all season, Green starting is a white flag, a player that could be a spark off the bench – but have him play starter minutes and destroy any chance of playing defense.
They've been in tanking mode all season long. The only ones that didn't know are Giannis and gullible Bucks fans. The front office decision not to fire Doc Rivers despite his non-existent coaching and atrocious records told me everything i needed to know about their mindsets going into this season. Giannis wanted to compete, but the Bucks front office had different ideas. I do think part of Giannis' negative attitude this year is because he knows this team is sadly going to waste his prime years. He's torn between his love for Mikwaukee and his desire to be in a competitive team, and the Bucks are not that right now.
Not a single thing matters until choke rivers is fired
