Next step is either trading for yves missi or a walker Kessler type. I like missi and he wants out, and New Orleans will want value. But it will cost a first (a Crap one but still)
It was a prove it year sure but at the same time this is what we had been building towards. The talent level was never a question to me. Even last year Scottie Barnes was showing me huge strides in his game so much so that if we didn't improve this season as a team that there were real questions about moving him so he can go have an elevated career on a better team that's ready to contend. The raptors aren't dishing out a bunch of money for giggles. This team as constructed was intended to contend. It really sucks Jakob hasn't been able to be on the court this year because him being healthy gives the raptors something they're really missing which is size and rim protection at the center position. The defense would be even better if we had Poeltl alongside this version of Scottie. Rim protection wouldn't be a question, and you get his extremely efficient shots close to the basket which would add another weapon that other teams have to think about. Raptors aren't a pricey team for no reason.
