We've seen how this goes with the Cavs since the time Donovan Mitchell has been a Cavalier and Darius Garland misses games due to injury the Cavs become a better defensive team because the starting lineup is bigger around Donovan and they win more games and Donovan Mitchell puts up better stats offensively and efficiently and the Cavs look more like a Legitimate Championship Contender until Darius Garland returns and is inserted into the starting lineup and the Cavs defensive numbers drop off and Donovan Mitchell's scoring and efficiency drop off and the Cavs lose winnable games and the Cavs make the Playoffs and lose in the first or second round!
I'm sorry to inform you about it because it doesn't have to be this way or end the way I described but if Kenny doesn't elect to bring Darius off the bench when he comes back from injury the Cavs starting lineup specifically the Backcourt with Darius will compromise the Cavs to start games off because Darius and Donovan as a starting Backcourt can't win a Championship but maybe Darius coming off the bench to be the main engine to lead the second unit will and I believe it can! So I'm not saying that I don't think the Cavs can't win a Championship with Darius all I'm saying is that he has to come off the bench in order for the Cavs to be the best version of this current roster but Kenny has a tough job because the undersized Backcourt isn't going to Work just like it didn't Work for the Utah Jazz when Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley were Backcourt mates and it capped out with a #1 seed in the West only one season and the same has been up to this point for the Cavs and second or first round exits are what to expect from a Undersized Backcourt in the NBA at this moment of time!
Mack my friend the Cavs problem this season will be if coach Kenny continues his substitution pattern when Darius comes back from his injury he can't start Darius and Donovan but substitute Donovan out first and leave a comprised Garland out on the floor to run the offense! Kenny has to sub Darius out first and leave Donovan in to run the offense and the Cavs are a much better team without Darius ever since Donovan has been a Cavalier and the numbers tell the story mainly on the defensive end and it's because of how much size is around Donovan in the starting lineup but the same would be if Darius had nothing but size around him too! I believe that the Cavs are 43-17 without Darius ever since Donovan has been a Cavalier!
The crazy thing about Hunter and his time so far as a Cavalier is that he's only started next to the Cavs Core 4 28 games and that's all we have to judge is 28 games and the Cavs were 18-10 in those 28 games!
