Don’t get me wrong JB is a great coach who has done an amazing job but what monty did was criminal. All the players on the team who were here when he coached should be able to sue him for loss of a year of their careers.
It's not about the Pistons needing to trade but more that they have a $14m trade exception, multiple expiring contracts in Tobias / Ivey (Restricted), and late 1st round / 2nd round picks for the foreseeable unlikely to contribute to this team anytime soon as trade chips. Pistons are deep, maybe too deep at some positions and not so at others. One spot is glaring though. They need a long term answer at the 4 spot maybe that's Beef Stew but they need more quality depth there aside from Paul Reed. From all reports nothing big is happening, they may make a small move with just Ivey, who's not happy losing his starting spot to Duncan Robinson, wants more minutes in a contract year.
You could see it in his face, day one. He respected these guys so much they started respecting themselves. This man spoke life into this team and city. Coach of the year isn’t even a question…. Now let’s watch him finish this one out!!!
