Maybe a hot take, but I don’t like retiring jersey numbers. Imagine you’re a kid today in Denver dreaming of wearing 15 just like your favourite player. You get to league and your favourite team and the jersey number is banned.
Yes, they should. They MUST. Both names with two 15s. We are not comparing here Melo and Jokic. We are talking about the impact on a player on its franchise. And Melo was the heart of the Nuggets for many years, as well as Jokic is the heart of the team now.
No in comparison to what Carmelo and Jokic has done for the Nuggets, Carmelo just scored a lot and was great offensive player but just made a conference finals appearance along with multiple accolades. Jokic is a three time mvp and brought the Nuggets their 1st championship ever and is a finals mvp
Melo is probably my favorite player of all time but for a nba career he really didn’t do anything worthy of getting his jersey retired especially over jokic

It would be disrespectful to jokic if this happens.. imagine being the greatest player in the history of the franchise while averaging nearly 30pts triple double in both regular season and playoffs as a center.. winning 3 mvps and finals mvp and a championship and also being one of the best offensive players of all time.. and then you got melo who just scored a lot💀
Melo has done everything he can since demanding the trade to separate himself from Denver and play the victim. He’s never come to a game here since retiring. Maybe they’ll honor him in some way down the line if they make amends, but I think with Jok having the far and away better career you can’t retire Melo’s 15 ever.

As well as he’s done nothing but talk down on the nuggets since leaving us. I’ve never once heard melo claim he’s a nugget post retirement. Look at aquib talib he’s been retired longer than melo and still to this day claims he’s a bronco. Shows love and support to them to this day.

No. 30 is retired for the trailblazers for both Bobby Gross and Terry Porter so i see no problem in that
