Can the Wolves beat the Thunder in a 7 game series?
Mentioning after a full 7 minutes in that the Wolves handled the Thunder pretty much exactly like the Spurs defensively ? That was my first thought as soon as 2 minutes INTO THE GAME š
Wolves were turning them over and scoring more in transition off of those turnovers, being more physical from the jump, being more agressive.
I feel like to beat the Thunder, you have to play exactly the same playstyle as them, but better, instead of playing a whole different style of basketball.
Am I tripping ? š¤
The T-Wolves have always had OKC'S attention. Three-point shooting hasn't been OKC's strength for the last three seasons. You're both right. The halfcourt game needs a lot of help. Tonight, the T-Wolves forced SGA & Wiggins, into costly turnovers.

My wolves from hounding them from the tip of the ball to the end of the game, we are a contender despite what our record looks like, we clearly showed. We can play like this any night, I hope the coaching staff, the players find the proper motivation to play like this every night against every team, no matter who it is cause this was great to watch the Twin Cities needed this one as well as the wolvesšššŗ
The nuggets, rockets, wolves, and spurs are all imo threats to okc they have size, defense, play physical and a star to take them home and with Denver, jokic almost took them out last year we know what he can do playoffs are going to be interesting
One correction Josh @12:05: In Antās postgame interview on NBA nightcap he did indeed confirm it is personal. And I think thatās a good thing because Wolves played like it.

Okc still got away with a lot of fouls everytime Julius drives he's hammered, Rudy gets fouled every rebound, watch okc off ball see how tbh play. it was just more even calls and wolves were more physical taking advantage of it while the refs let both teams play
Ant and the wolves play amazing when the teams is good and donāt care when they play bum team they have to be like this all the time

The wolves the past two playoff runs proved that they ramp of their defense to the next level. This game was no surprise to me as a Wolves fan. These are the types of games they get up for in the regular season. The regular season as a whole….. they think they are better than everyone so when they play lots of teams they are lethargic and don't try all that hard. Why? Cause they have been to the west finals in back to back years. Arrogant? Yes. Frustrating to us fans? Yes. But we know they can ramp it up when it actually matters. So even if they are a 6th seed, in the playoffs they might as well have finished as a #2 seed based on how they will attack a series.
Rudy Gobert is the best screener in the NBA.
It's not a big deal, but fans of the team like me greatly prefer "Timberwolves" or "Wolves" over "T-Wolves."

Example. SGA getting locked up by Donte wouldve been a foul in the playoffs even though Dort and Caruso do the same defense EVERY GAME
We don't talk enough about ANT, Jaden, Naz going on deep playoff runs when they were 22/23. Now they are all 24/25 and have been to two WCFs and had series w DEN and MEM from a few years ago. They have A LOT of combined playoff minutes for only being 24/25 rn. All three are only getting better.
The thunder without the flopping free throws are just above average but there is three teams that are better over all

Takeaway is if you are allowed to foul ts out of SGA the entire game then you can win. What a sorry way to win a game

This team will lose to the tanking Jazz one week and beat the brakes off of OKC the next
Sure OKC was missing a couple key pieces, but this was also the Wolves fourth game in five days

One thing i agree on is our half court offense has been really bad this year and with out certain guys you can see it. Also wolves got away with murder even dante was pushing shai and no techs called or fouls that was wild. But we were soft tonight
