The trade deadline is RIGHT around the corner! Who do you want? Who do you think the Spurs will realistically trade for? Thanks for watching and GO SPURS GO!
Yes
I can't see any real value from a trade. Sochan needs another team. It will be a small trade.
I would consider this: Fox, Sochan, Olynyk, Barnes, ATL FRpick swap 26, ATL FRpick 27, and 29 Spurs FRpick
For Gianni’s Thannasis and Kuzama
just kidding on the Kuz part but we would likely have to take on a player or two we don’t need/want to match salary
Yabusele has been unplayable for the Knicks also his contract runs through next year tradeing for him would be nonsensical
Just trade for thanasis and wait for Giannis contract to expire.
We need a solid power forward.
Big No on all those guys other than Bobby Portis. In a situation like this I would trust PATFO to make the right decision. I don't really know much about Portis. I googled and there's doesn;t seem to be any other history of drug abuse and possibly it was an honest mistake. The fact that the Spurs are letting Sochan's agent look for trade targets says to me either that other teams aren't offering enough for Sochan or they aren't really shopping him at all. There are actually a lot of players in the east who fit the bill (PF/C upgrade from Sochan well under 30 not too expensive). I don't think a trade with the West is likely, but not impossible.
2:41 MPJ being non Spursy comes down to the fact that when the ball comes to him, he's shooting and only shooting (tunnel vision on scoring, and not looking to pass). So much so that Jokic in the past has called him out for it, and it's likely why MPJ got traded out of Denver.
Getting suspended for taking tramadol. I take that for my back right now. Is it a band substance or did he not have a prescription for it either way it’s not that bad. It’s a muscle spasm pain med. Which doesn’t really work that good lol.
Why don't we send Jeremy Sohan back to G league and Give him a Great-Power forward Coach like Timmy . Reinvigorate his desire to be a Spur. He still has huge upside, A small contract, and he's young.. i don't want to break up the team and overpay for an aging power forward superstar.
– Only delusional fans think we can get Giannis/Lauri/MPJ without giving Harper/Castle/both + tons of picks.
– Yabu doesn't play both offense & defense after being paid, I don't even want him for nothing.
– The most logical option is Portis. That means we're not trading for anyone. Case closed. 🙏🏻
Out of these options, Bobby Portis is the best one. His money is right and the position we’re looking for is right. Yabasele would be a good grab if you can’t find no other trade for Jeremy then maybe.
I have a picture with Michael porter jr from summer league , he was in my elevator, cool dude
Tramadoll? Thats not a drug that most people typically abuse. Yhats the kind of stuff they gave my cats when I got them fixed
Spurs! Go Get That Power Forward?? For Jeremy Sochan
I was looking at teams that have interest in Sochan; the Hornets, Lakers, Bulls, Knicks, and Suns. I don't know how much value Sochan will bring back to the Spurs. I would say try to get 2 second round picks for him but the Spurs are loaded with 2nds. For the Bulls I'm not a fan of Huerter or Pat Williams, maybe Jalen Smith but the Spurs would have to add more than just Sochan to that trade. For the Hornets maybe Tijane Salaun. The Spurs can try for Rasheer Flemming on the Suns but I think they will be back at square one trying to develop him like they were doing with Sochan. There's Yabu for the Knicks but I think last season was the only one that he showed anything good, it may have just been a one off. He is 31 and all other years he was a fringe NBA player at best. I don't even know who the Lakers could trade to the Spurs.
They need a 3 shooter, if Champagnie is off they got no one.
Bobby Portis is the most well rounded. I do think we can get him without sacrificing too much. The trade would be obviously centered on Sochan, a few 2nds, and maybe Waters, and Kelly. With Waters gone, I'd like to give DJG a standard contract
PORTIS!
Why not try to draft either morez johnson jr. Or thomas haugh for pf ?
Bobby P. A pf that can actually shoot and tough?… Sign me up!.
Portis is ok but the spurs are going to need a quicker player come play off time when they will definitely need to defend that 3
Along as its not a trade for giannis im good. Hes basically lebron but undercover. He will run whatever organization he gets to next
I agree that (if anything) we need another 4/front court player: I’d go for Missi or Allen
Lmao Tramadol is like ibuprofen, what a non story
Ok for Sochan vs Yabusele
Ok for Fox+Olynyck+Sochan vs Giannis
NAAAAAZZZZ RRRREEEEEEEEEIIIDD
thats the only dude we need. PF can shoot, plug and play, has height and can play D
your picture order:
1. No
2. Wet dream but No (cost too much draft and cap space)
3. Probably not (cost too much draft pick imo) because many team want him.
4. No (cost too much draft)
5. ABSOLUTELY NOT…. but for a salary dump from NY including one of their FRP (or pick swap) maybe.
– mpj was traded by his former champ team, must be for a reason. Not sure we should try to go for him
– portis, no idea; don't really know the player.
– Giannis, FO and Vic made it very clear. No player justify gutting your depth, so won't happen. It just content creator and media pushing the narrative to get views
– Markenen, why not in place of barnes. II think he is "politicaly" injured a lot since 2 seasons to improve lottery odds. Now what's the price
– Yabu; as every french player who went to NY failed. Here we talk about the Knicks curse for french player. He is good since years. No reason to become bad next day. certainly a improvment from Ollynyk and or Sochan
in conclusion I think we are only trading Sochan for sure (maybe end bench player too but not for a big name). we have to run this team in PO games to figure what we really need
If there's a fire sale… I want Turner first, then Portis, for his toughness! Shawn Marks already poo-pooed on us with Cam Johnson. I'm sure he'll want a ton for MPJ.
Hey Bobby! Come on down. Another suggestion: I know we don't trade with the Lakers, but I do like Hachimura. Go Spurs Go!
How about Maxine Rinaud out of Sacramento kings
Booby Portis .. Harrison Barnes and Sochan draft Picks .. we need his crazy eyes Enforcer
MPJ babyyyy
Crazy 👀 s we need
Answer: NONE OF THE ABOVE. The only nba rumor right now, and I second the motion, is to bring in Payton Pritchard. Boston has been seeking to fix a big hole at the 4 and 5 spots. They don't need Pritchard, they need a SF to match up against Duran (Detroit). Sochan is perfect. The Spurs need a shooter, to come in and take PG duties, when Fox is out. Castle is not a PG and turns the ball over consistently. We can include Jordan Mclaughlin, to appease the Celtics of a lost backup PG with Sochan. Therefore, the Salaries line up easily. AN EVEN TRADE. Everyone is happy and the Spurs solved their shooting problem because Pritchard does not miss when the game is on the line. He's deadly. That's what the Spurs need to spread the floor, for Wemby.
Portis is the same price as Kelly Olynk's… eye opener.
I didn't see this option in the comments… But what if we wouldn't trade at all this winter ??
The Spurs are 2nd seed in the western conference. January was a little bit rough (9 wins and 6 losses) but the Spurs are not the only team to suffer (i.e. Knicks won the NBA Cup and they suffered much more).
The allstar break will help our roster to rest, practise at SA, spend time with the family,… in order to be ready for the last push.
We shouldn't rush and we would continue to help other teams with their own trades if this is possible (especially with the contracts of sochan and Olynyk) getting some picks.
If a good opportunity appears (such as the Barnes' trade two years ago), let's grab it.
In conclusion, the Spurs should concentrate on the current roster and learn about all performances in the future playoff run (who is overachieving, who is "casper",…) to prepare the offseason.
PS: The Spurs should free some roster's places to sign DJG and to be able to sign a waived player later on.
