Horrible trade. Keon is one of the best defending guards in the NBA. Get rid of Devin Carter or Malik Monk.
What a waste of an asset in Ellis. And it confirms that Murray will stay at PF. The only thing I can think of, is that this is a trade before the block buster trade and we needed to clear roster spots. And it seems instead of getting a pick for Ellis, they used Ellis to dump Dennis and as a consolation prize they got Hunter. But they must think Hunter is better on defense than we give him credit for.

I feel like this trade made sense. They ended up getting a 3&D and they got an expiring contract that they can monitor, depending on how they do in the next season. Scott Perry is trying to make it to where he can monitor who is going to play hard and who is not. Don’t get me wrong. Keon Ellis was a great player but at the same time this trade looks like it’s aiming towards the future. Dylan Cardwell is also a player that they want to give a contract to

It does tons for the kings! Youre wild. Saric, gone, Dennis, gone, log jam at guard, over. Space for nique and devin to grow and see who they really are, Hunter actually DOES play defense and can revamp his offense here. Oh AND Cardwell gets a full contract. Come on.
At least it helps the log jam at guard a little bit….
