I think what Perk is saying is wait till the off-season THEN trade for Giannis after the knicks see what they have. At that point you know the changes that need to be made and where you fell short. And the Knicks would be able to sweeten their offer at that time to the Bucks.

If Giannis isnโt traded by the deadline he is going to the Knicks at the end of season. I believe that Giannis, the Bucks and the Knicks have an unwritten agreement that they are willing to work out a deal beneficial to everyone involved.

Just because Detroit has a better season record than the Knicks that doesn't mean they will be the better team in the playoffs think of the ( Cavs and Celtics) last year , they had the best season record in the east and they were eliminated. If GIANNIS didn't win with Lillard who many believed was better than Brunson why would he win in NY if the Knicks lost OG or Mikel?
We are good let's keep on building our chemistry, Detroit will eventually hit a bump on the road. And when the playoffs come around the Knicks will be ready again for Detroit. Cade is not better than Brunson and the Knicks have more playoffs experience than Detroit.
