  1. Right now the rockets are a first round exit. With harden they forsure making it out of the 2nd round

  2. Players aren't trying to win anymore. They just want to get paid. They'll go to the highest bidder regardless of the fit or ability of the team to win.

  3. Imagine that Harden requesting a trade. And then he's going to gain 25 or 30 lb until they have no choice but to trade him like he does everywhere else he gets traded from.

What a joke and embarrassment he is. Jumping ship into all the other teams and still don't have a ring😅.

The amount of money the NBA players make per game is ridiculous. Especially considering how they act like freaking babies every time they get their feelings hurt or I want to take their ball and go home…they. Request a trade. What's the point of having contracts anymore if all you have to do is request the trade to get moved

  4. Jason, I have busted your ballz in the past but I’ve got to say, you have definitely earned my respect and you are without question my favorite analyst.

  5. What about OKC? Their half court offense can shutdown if SGA isn’t cooking and their defense is good enough to cover for Harden’s shortcomings. I know the salaries world be hard to match but the homecoming on a true contender would be kind of fun

  6. I actually like the trade for bith teams. Kinda like back n the day when Pooh Richardson and Chuck Person were traded for each other in the 90s

  7. This might be too long a question/rant for a mailbag, but I'd appreciate any responses.

How likely is it that the Bucks will have more options on the Giannis trade in the summer? I worry that there are equally likely scenarios where the whole trade market could cool off by then. For example, Giannis is apparently indicating that he wants to come back and play if he doesn't get traded at the deadline. What if he aggravates the lingering calf injury (or has an unrelated injury) and gets sidelined for a longer period? What if this happens after he plays exceptional basketball and nets you the 14th pick in the draft, instead of a top 5? How many teams would want to take a massive chance on him then? ESPN keeps saying the Golden State offer will likely remain on the table, but it's entirely possible that Steph gets injured to end the season again, and they collectively decide the dream is dead. Most other teams have similar swing factors that could either improve or reduce their desire for a GA trade. (Knock on wood, I hope neither of them gets injured).

I'm not saying they should necessarily trade with the Warriors now; if they can get their own picks back from the Blazers, or a VJ Edgecombe or a Dylan Harper right now, that's great, but if not, I feel like it is absolutely a gamble to keep him on the roster and potentially leave him as an expiring contract with leverage over the trade. 5 draft picks from the Warriors is a safe bet, and I don't see why they'd be regretting it 7 years from now. For a contrasting analogy, vis-a-vis player contracts, immediate extensions are often portrayed as being low-paying financial security, while declining to extend or entering free agency are portrayed as high-risk bets on oneself. Why isn't this waiting game being considered a gamble?

  8. Dang, you should raise your teleprompter or whatever device you're using to read your script 🤐

  9. Garland is 26 and one of the best offensive players, I'd bet on him to get healthy at some point than 36y old harden

  10. Clippers fan here… I hate watching this guy play ball. He got no D, no hustle, and can’t wait till he’s gone. He SHOULD have good stats knowing that he holds the ball all the time. I’m celebrating 🥳

  11. Im with ya Jason on all that you said except the fact that they may make Giannis wait is a dick move. It just makes WAY more business sense for them to wait. He's still not playing, he's set to miss at least 3 more weeks. Its one thing if he was healthy and playing. But he's not. Them waiting allows more teams to get involved, and it also lets Giannis have more options in terms of teams to trade him to. Win win.

  12. As a Clipper i don't want Garland because his injury prone and we already have Kwahi…

Plus his a liability on defense

  13. Look at the history of James Harden in the playoffs. The only consistency is him flaming out in the playoffs.
