I'm getting the feeling Sean Marks won't make any moves.
Nets are more and more likely not to do much of anything and it’s for the same reason Marks rarely does much of anything at trade deadlines. He overvalues his players and overplays him his hand and then ends up down the road get less for the player than he should have. If take away the Bridges and KD trade which had built leverage because of Brunson and a desperate owner and Marks has continuously traded after their buzz has cooled. He did it with DFS and Cam Johnson who he got a nice asset but his buzz was higher during the trade deadline so was Cam Thomas last year.
Now as MPJ starts to cool down you see the same thing happening. The Nets fall hard for a player and then they lose value and the. They end up trading later down the road for less. Marks has always had a broken clock is right twice a day philosophy when it comes to trading players at the appropriate and correct times.
This is what I`m talking about with Nets fans… How are you going to try to be competitive next season with no proven talent? Currently there`s 3 legit NBA rotation players on the roster and you are trying to move the only legit NBA starter on the roster. For all the hype around this draft class, If Cooper Flagg was in this years draft he`d still be the #1 pick. He`s having a historic rookie season and they are 19-31. I keep screaming Utah. Look at Utah! Utah will be competitive next season no matter what happens in the draft because they turned draft capital into proven all-star level talent while not giving up Lauri who`s numbers are very similar to… MPJ`s!
I noticed two things after the game. MPJ immediately got up and walked to the locker room without talking to anyone or shaking hands. Secondly, Claxton stayed sitting on the bench and didn't interact with anyone, and he was still there when everyone left. How long before the coach gets tuned out, tanking or not.
Btw, please do Claxton a favor and trade him away from this garbage.
Why are you pretending that Sharpe WASN'T playing against Gabe Vincent/Vando/Rui. Then Knect and Timme during garbage time? He only had 6 points and 5 rebounds when he played the Lakers' regular rotations until they pulled the first and second groups.
If you’re a fan of the nets for a while, you know that this is kind of who marks is as frustrated as it can be, but at the end of the day I don’t really care whether he makes any moves, but this time around they better start benching guys even more than they have like MPJ see next season. They have done a much better job with the tank this year, but they could do better.
I also wonder whether the nets could just start either buying out or waving guys altogether. It really no reason to have guys like Haywood Highsmith on the roster or Cam Thomas if they don’t trade them.

3:30 bro this argument makes zero sense. More close games makes the odds of winning a game that you shouldn’t higher. None of this bs about culture matters for this season. You’re not developing bad habits by being trash for one half of a season. The pistons and thunder did it for multiple seasons an it’s not affecting them now.
Even though it was in a blowout loss Day'Ron continues to impress (19pts, 14 rebs, 5 assist, 3 steals). I think he knows Nets fans support him and are calling for him play more even if he doesn't start. Because Clax makes $19MM a year more then Day'Ron and has a longer tenure with the team then continuing to start him makes sense FOR NOW. I would extend Day'Ron this off season for $50MM over 5 years which he may accept. Willing to increase the offer if needed because he is worth it.
