The Phoenix Suns have gotten active at the trade deadline, sending Nick Richards and Nigel Hayes-Davis to the Milwaukee Bucks for Amir Coffey and Cole Anthony. Now, it begs the question of whether or not they’re done dealing.
Phoenix has made a salary-saving move but it could end up being much more than that. Coffey is a proven veteran in his seventh NBA season while Anthony could add backcourt depth if he sticks with the roster. Did the Suns get better?

This is a BS trade from the Suns, we don't need MORE guards, we need a PF/big that can shoot and helps with the rebound! Pray that neither Mark or Oso will have any serious injury this season!
Worst case is one of our bigs gets hurt. Malawauch is not ready. Otherwise, this trade is probably fine. Maybe find a 3rd string big in the buyout.
Was a good Idea to get under the tax threshold. This team will go way over the tax next year just resigning Colin and Jordan. So may as well reset the tax penalties

Ich finde die Trades gut, wenn ich darüber nachdenke. Colin Anthony ist ein vielseitiger Scorer. Er kann seinen eigenen Wurf kreieren, aus der Mitteldistanz werfen und den Korb attackieren. Er ist erst 25yo und holte im Schnitt 16 PpG für die Magic. Er kann auch den Ball verteilen und den Spielaufbau leiten. Dieser Mann ersetzt Richards.
Zweitens: Ich hoffe, dass die Suns endlich mal ihren Rookies vertrauen. Ich zähle mal auf: Coooer, Knueppel, VJ, Queen, Fears, Harper, Coward und Kalkbrenner spielen eine gute Rookie-Saison.
Drittens: Amir Coffee, wenn er regelmäßig spielt, ist ein effizienter Scorer und eine weitere Shooting-Option. Das ist insofern relevant, um den Spielfluss nicht abreißen zu lassen, wenn andere Shooter pausieren. Kann auch seinen Wurf kreieren und den Mitspieler finden. Er ist undrafted wie Gillespie. Tendiert Richtung Offensive. Er ersetzt NHD.
Viertens: Wenn ich höre, dass die Suns unter die Luxussteuer wollten, dann würde ich bei Booker nachverhandeln. Das Team ist noch im Umbau und Verträge müssen noch abgeschlossen werden. Es ist völlig klar mit wem alles. Und dann muss man hoffen, dass Fleming die Lücke füllt, die alle geschlossen haben möchten. Einen Power Forward, der seinen Namen verdient. Royce kann übrigens auch zum Korb ziehen. Was allen großen Spielern abgeht, ist der Mitteldistanzwurf. Ob Floater, Sky Hook oder Jumper. Im Prinzip was KD drei Jahre für die Suns gemacht hat. Solche Würfe sehe ich fast nie. Grüße aus Deutschland
