If you look at 1 or 2 round picks it mobey because you have to pay 1 round money that year of the draft.

F-Why do these guys in the front office still have jobs?
Bulls fans aren't being realistic about the value of the outgoing players due to their expiring contracts. Minnesota is not guaranteed to keep Ayo more than half a season. Same with Coby in Charlotte, Vuc in Boston etc. They all become unrestricted free agents after this season. In comparison, Zubac is signed through the next 2.5 seasons at a team friendly deal for a starter, so Indiana had to give up assets to get him.
Sure, they could've gotten more by trading Coby and Vuc a year or two ago, but they still had potential to be competitive in the east, so they weren't ready to move on from them yet.
Ironically, they still have the depth to be competitive this season with all the expiring contracts they brought in. Yabusele and Richards give them some size up front, and could complement Smith and Collins if he can make it back from injury. Simons and Sexton give them the scoring they lost with Coby and Ayo. Losing Ayo hurts them defensively, but their front court defense improved. If Giddey, Jones and Collins make it back healthy this season, the Bulls might still be somewhat competitive to end this season.
At least they got some capital for the outgoing free agents, and will have a chance to bring Ayo back next summer if they choose to go that route.

Williams has been a big bust !!!! And I was pissed when they stupidly gave him an extension, when he never ever earned it !
The Bulls did good they aquired three talented young underutilized players, added four quality veterans on expiring deals, and added a ton of draft picks. Don't forget Giddy and Okoro were lottery picks that teams written off and now Okoro is a quality player and Giddy is becoming a star. Sometimes all young players need is more consistant playing time to develop.
And now we are stuck with Williams ! If I was coach , he would ride the pine every damn game !

Nick Richards is enigmatic. At 28, I still think he has space in the growth ceiling. Being able to see Hornets basketball locally, I never understood how he couldn't reach close to his potential but the coaching while he was there was tuned out.

The only thing saving the bulls grade is the Vuc trade.. you got a better second and a young guard with great shooting ability. Without that it would be an F
