9th/10th seed for sure I don’t see them being that much better. Ad will get hurt again next year and Trae might too. Definitely not a top 5 team next year. And probably still don’t make the playoffs.

I'd be trading Kyrie, Gafford, and Klay. At this point get as many firsts as possible and let Coop be your franchise guy. Gunna suck for Coop but who cares. That's how it's supposed to be. You ain't supposed to join the league and win chips off rip. They will be set up better than OKC. OKC got lucky Shai got good. They already have a guy with that potential.
At a bare minimum the Wizards will be an incredibly fun team to watch next year. With what this FO walked into with the Beal situation this result plus if they add one of Peterson Boozer or AJ is incredible at the end of the day. Doesn't mean it will work, but this franchise had frankly 0 hope a few seasons ago.
Wizards plan when healthy IMO will be for Trae to shoot less than he was in Atlanta and distribute to the very good shooters WSH has. They are banking on 2 bigs of Sarr and AD to makeup for the penetration teams will get from opposing guards. Wsh also has quite a few good on ball Iso defenders. Plus the draft pick. Im at the very least intrigued.

It’s now obvious that the Washington Wizards have been infected with the Klutch virus. This has Rich Paul all over it. Don’t be surprised if LeQuitness signs there in the offseason. He will have an opportunity to stat pad and get glorified praise for a struggling franchise for bringing them back to some kind of relevance if they can somehow make the playoffs.
