Dont you dare say wait till the play offs knicks fans.. refs wont help you now. We had no Duren and who cares if OG and Kat wasn't playing, they played last month and still lost by 31 💀. Cade only played 20mins and yall still lost by 38.
Hard to really judge this game with our best defender, 2nd best scorer, 3rd best scorer, best 3 point shooter whos also our 3rd best defender, im running out of stuff. This loss sucks. It’s like this year‘s knicks could beat the Pacers, Cavaliers and Celtics, but now the Pistons were not built for.
🫡 Ladies and gentlemen…each generation of Knick teams had their nemesis. Without a doubt, this Knick team has found its nemesis. It is not the Indiana Pacers. The Detroit Pistons have every game vs the Knicks circled ⭕️ on the calendar. These aren’t losses to the Pistons. Rather, the Pistons are making a statement. They’re waiting for the Knicks. The Pistons took an “L” to Washington so they would be ready for the Knicks. You can come up with, “Well the Knicks rested OG and KAT..” but this team isn’t devoid of talent. The biggest problem facing this team is the fact that the Pistons have perfected defending against Jalen Brunson. They close the passing lanes down and force the ball handling to anyone else. The Pistons haven’t changed their game plan from the last blow out. Shockingly Mike Brown hasn’t made any adjustments or fixed that problem. There is still a lot of basketball left but the Pistons are in the Knicks’ heads a little. And the Pistons confidence level is at an all-time high. That’s a problem. A big problem.

Detroit is a young team playing with an edge! We have not matched their heart, energy, grit, want to etc. It’s not a personnel issue. This is the exact same team we played last year in the 1st round. Pretty much. I hate to lose this way but I feel we’ll be alright post all star break. We’ll meet that level of competition in a couple weeks at the Garden! Watch! 🧡💙

Replay gang here: It's the same achilles heal problem the Knicks have. We struggle against young, athletic teams. Also, the plethora of little guards is going to hurt us as well. As much as I love the Avarado story, we didn't need another little guard. We needed to add some athleticism to the roster. As for Clarkson, he's 33 and it's showing.

Last year I could understand the losses because they were introducing KAT and Mikal into the rotation. We have almost the same roster, that technically should have improved. We were supposed to have an “upgrade” in the coach… 😒😒😒. Yet this team feels worse from a “will to compete” perspective. When it gets tough they wilt too easily for a conference finalist. Where is the fight! I can understand losing, but 40 points? This team competed in the playoffs w Julius, OG, and Bogdan missing. I saw the grit!

I heard for weeks the Knicks need to trade KAT and Deuce to upgrade those spots. And now they are the reason the Knicks lose by 40 cause they weren’t playing… got it

Although I have always questioned KAT’s fit with Brunson it’s hard to gauge this team without OG Anunoby who is their best defender and, KAT who gives them spacing. I wish the Knicks could have got Yves Missi but, they were not able to get it done. I think he would have been a nice addition. I think Alvarado will help he is a pest similar to Patrick Beverley. He will bring a lot of energy and, some toughness. It’s a lot of fans panicking but, remember last year they struggled against top teams. They are a very talented team. They have time to come together
CK said he expected Shammet and Clarkson to help Brunson outside of Bridges and we expected this to be a good game. Having to rely on two bench players and a soft Bridges should tell you enough about how this game went.
