What was your reaction to the Wizards' tank job vs. the Nets? How do you feel Brooklyn should approach the rest of the season?
The 76ers did it last year…. tanked in front of us and ended up with VJ Edgecombe

The Nets didnt get "Out Tanked" They didnt tank, they are just an awful team being run by an incompetent organization.
This was such an embarrassing win, and it's not because it negatively affected the tank but because they only won by 14 vs a Team that only suited up 8 players, and only 2 rotational players. YIKES! Id feel insulted if I were a Nets player, that The Wizards think their young players would beat a fully healthy Nets team that's why they sat them, and theyre probably right because The Nets couldnt blowout a bunch of G Leaguers off of a 31 min MPJ Game
I'm a Nets fans, but Nets fans are just mad / jealous that we aren't doing it. If we were doing it you and most of them wouldn't even be complaining that this was a disgrace if we were sitting MPJ, Mann, Clax, Sharpe.
Yes it's annoying for any team to be shutting down players with "phantom" injuries (quotations cause the injuries are real, theyre just very minor things that normal teams play through all the time) / resting due to something extremely minor to these length before even the All Star Break, I'd be annoyed if the Nets were being shameless like that as well, but the fact of the matter is because they're not doing anything wrong by the NBA's taking rules, nothing is gonna be done about it unless the rules are much stricter.

In my opinion, tanking to get a high pick is a prudent strategy for rebuilding teams.
But I get disgusted when it becomes a continuous approach of teams who are badly managed or lacking imagination.
It is also egregious for teams who are trying to avoid conferring protected picks.
I think there are easy and creative fixes for both repulsive trends. Unfortunately, none of these measures will ever get installed due to need for the approval of owners.
Here are two possible fixes:
1) repeat lottery ranked teams get penalized in successive years (similar to repeater tax). e.g. second successive year barred from top 4, third year barred from top 10, etc.
2) if protected picks are allowed to continue, I have a creative fun fix. The head to head games between teams that traded the pick can alter the pick protections: For example, the top 8 protected picks that Utah and Washington are trying to keep can be impacted by their records against OKC and NYK, repectively. Thus, if Utah loses all four games to OKC (in the season the pick is meant to be conferred) the protection drops to top 4 protected. In reverse, if they win all their games, it becomes top 12 protected. I think this set up would make for very exciting games in the season.
I’ve been saying this nets are lost like Paul pierced said we traded for our picks back and we not shamelessly tanking we should be the worst team in the league and somehow we are 5th just like last year Philly out tanked us and got VJ Utah wizards they are shameless and they will end up with top 3 and we will have a 7th pick again so stop complaining
This is what a rebuild looks like. It's looks ugly. Look at the Pistons and OKC and how bad they sucked less than 5 years ago. OKC broke the record for the worse loss in the NBA just in 2021 with an SGA lead team.
I think at the end of the season, the NBA should look at the points differentials between the bottom 5 teams when they play one another, and give the #1 pick to the team who had the best points differential in those games, and figure out the rest of the top 5 the same way.
Get Sean Marks the fuck out of this team before we end up tanking for the next 5 years like the Hornets
