Since the Adelsons bought the Mavericks, the Mavs have been a dysfunctional organization run by Nico Harrison which resulted in the Luka Doncic trade that sent Mavericks fans into dismay. I remember going to my first Mavs game in 2000. Last game of season. Mavs playing Lakers, Kobe and Shaq, and Mavs were out of playoffs. Cuban had just bought team and stood up in front of fans and thanked them and told them how much they meant to team. He also promised a brighter future. I’ve been a huge Cuban fan ever since and would love this to happen!
Theory, owners will still own the team financially but Mark will be the front man owner. Maybe they sell it to him for a dollar and keep the profits or something.
