Cooper Flagg isn't an all star yet. There are players with much better stats. If he was playing like he is now throughout the whole season then he would be a starter on the All Star team. Next year he will be one. As for Cuban, if he wants to buy the Mavs back he will have to have an investment group with him because he doesn't have enough money to buy them back on his own

Dumont and Adelson bought the Mavericks with the idea that they could develop a resort/stadium/casino in Dallas. That is their business model for the Sands corporation. That is entirely dependent on the Texas legislature approving casino gambling for Texas which they rejected in 2024. Cuban and the investor group do not want the Mavericks to be moved to Las Vegas if the Texas legislature rejects the casino gambling again this summer. It would be a positive move for Cuban to regain operational control of the Mavericks and to be the one approving maximum extensions for players. When Cooper Flagg has played through his rookie contract, he will be probably looking at a four- or five-year extension contract worth two hundred million. The reason Dumont approved the trade of Luke was he did not want to give him the maximum extension of three hundred million in 2025. Maybe if Cuban is running the Mavericks in 2028, he can get Luka to return to the Mavericks to play with Flagg.

You guys are out of your mind that will be three years with the Lakers. Basically nobody leaving LA for Dallas. He’s gonna have his new friends his new family life everything in LA. It’ll be hard to leave LA like it was hard to leave Dallas. You guys are a bunch of dopes Cuban ain’t buying the team back. why would they sell when they have a bright future with Cooper?
