A Career Decided in 15 Shots

A Career Decided in 15 Shots

Since 1980, every NBA franchise has had at least one 50-win season. Well, every franchise except for The Washington Wizards.

Now winning streaks are discarded as regular season anomalies. Uplifting trends are interpreted as illusions that we haven’t figured out yet. And any prospect with the slightest bit of promise is cast aside as a future bust.

Last year, we saw it reach its final form at the expense of the Wizards latest project: Alex Sarr.

  1. I've noticed y'all have been quietly but loudly showing love to the Wiz for a minute. To be a Wizards fan is to be in the trenches but these young boys and Will as our GM is going to take us to the top.

Quick note: Alex and his reps refused to workout for ATL and let it be known that he preferred to go to the Wiz.

  2. I’m a fan of Alex Sarr. I think he has TREMENDOUS defensive instincts. And he’s really fluid for his size on both ends of the floor. His shoot is really smooth too. If he continues to work hard and add strength, he can be really nice.

  3. It is so fucking refreshing to see a high-quality NBA page actually make a video about small market players and teams instead of just spamming videos about the Lakers, Warriors, Giannis, Miami and New York … as a hornets fan, we appreciate it! No gambling ads forced down our throat either – great channel

  4. 3:50 lets not revise history completely, dont forget that sarr weaseled his way to the second pick with his agent on purpose

  5. Man oh man, the way I didn't understand the Alex Sarr hate. I think hottakesmanship really blinds people to talent sometimes.

  6. THANKS FOR THE WIZARD VIDEO. People shit on us because of our past but I believe this young core and Will Dawkins will bring us an era the fans have wanted for their whole lifetime

  7. The Hawks stuff is a bit misleading because Sarr was the one who didn't want to go to the Hawks and refused to do any workouts with them and wanted to go to the wizards. The Hawks would've drafted him otherwise so saying he was getting revenge or anything like that is a bit disingenuous to what actually happened with them. Amazing video tho

  8. i dont think i agree with the framing that the hawks passed on sarr, it was more sarr passing on the hawk by refusing to work out for them

  9. Something that is very funny being french is how different our perception of players (especially french players) is different from our perspective and from US one. That may come with the way european and US basketball are played, but last year the commentary here was very focused on Sarr's ability as a rim protector and the streaky shooting was to be expected. On the other end, sometimes i feel like we're way more critical on someone like Bilal Coulibaly than the Wizards/US fans seems to be.

  10. Wizards fans appreciate the love ❤. Sarr will be absolutely special, we got a future DPOY on our hands. But let them hate from outside, the work will be silent but the proof will be loud soon.
