And come play offs, you'll get to make a video with the title "James Harden has unlocked a NEW FLOOR for Cavaliers"
I'm a massive Harden hater but there's still some truth to the fact that every new Harden team goes through this cycle. They're desperate, see some upside and improvement under Harden in the regular season, then Harden falls apart in the postseason and demands a max contract which promply gets him traded to the next desperate team. Cavs would've been better off just getting rid of Garlands salary.
Harden with Evan Mobley on the floor will be a clunky fit, Harden can't beat people 1 on 1 like Garland could so Mobley will be relegated to a strong side PF scorer instead of the 25' Cavs egalitarian read&react offense. Mobley thrives under a beautiful game Spurs type offense not basic P&R spam or Dmitch heroball
Harden is yet to practice with the team x'D
Everyone knows Harden’s flaws, but holy hell are they overemphasized for someone as absurdly talented as he is. The Cavs don’t need him to drop 30 in big playoff games to win. He’ll still have those nights throughout a series, but if he can just facilitate and take that load off of Donovan for chunks of the game. This is an excellent trade both for that reason and simply for the fact that Harden has, historically, been a durable guy that actually plays in games. Unfortunately can’t say that for Garland and the Cavs can’t continue to just pray for him to be available when they need him
Not saying that the Warriors should’ve gotten James Harden, but the Cavaliers made THE impactful move that the Golden State Warriors SHOULD HAVE MADE🤬🤬🤬
Cavs got the best back court and the best back court in the league with Jaylon Tyson at the 3 😱😱
If Cleveland's healthy, they're the best team in the East. They haven't been fully healthy yet and I'm not sure they will get there.
harden can't paly off the ball
lol. Still not buying harden in the playoffs. Would be an idiot to think he winds fade yet again. But he is a more upgrade over Darius. That toe is clearly chronic and he’s just not as good talent wise even though he’s much younger.
Mobley, Wade, and Strus will all help defensively when they return from injury.
What’s the likelihood that ceiling is actually reached though given the history of injuries and Playoff failures?
They’re coming outta the East. Seen all the podcasters and analysts say the trade didnt move the Cavs. Its laughable and just WATCH
Wait until you see the higher new ceiling Kuminga adds to the Hawks!
Raised their ceiling to a second round game 7 lol
The Cavs will have injuries like they always do. Nothing has changed here.
So what happens when come playoff time when they really need Harden, and they ask him to play off ball he just quits on them like he has a history of doing? I don’t see how having Harden actually improves the Cavs playoff chances. He’s shown flashes in the playoffs, but overall his game has been more bad than good. You just can’t count on him at all.
No more injuries God has a purpose plan
I love Garland, but it was rough watching him get targeted every single time down the floor by other teams in the playoffs
This same Cavs team that have flamed out very softly in last 2 playoff and because they added the great playoff contributed James Harden they are now super contenders? I seriously doubt it
Loved your thoughts on the Cavs closers. Makes you wonder what the closing lineup will be with Mobley back. 4 shooters and Allen makes for a strong and simple read and react offense.
Harden's major flaw other that his lack of defense sometimes is he disappears come playoff clutch moments. But that is mitigated with Mitchell being a beast in the playoffs. So even if Harden can't score in the playoffs, if he can just rack up assists and let the bigs be scoring threats as well, then this team is a legit title contender.
Jaylon Tyson's leap has been awesome. His composure and consistency has really saved this team.
