Middleton stays because he likes playing for Kidd. So let that be.

Buy all 100% from Dumont so that can go Vegas all by themselves.
I’m ok with keeping Middleton. Also would be cool to keep him if we could keep him for sub 8 million a year for the next 2 years
The Mavericks must trade players and all the second round picks for more first round picks there's at least 18 good players and they've got to try to get two or three with all these pics of players
I think buyout will be right way to go because as mentioned, it will open a spot to either sign Nembhard or Cisse. Both have been valuable for us but only one will get that final spot unfortunately.
Buy Middleton out! Don’t need him!
Love to have his experience down the road but for '25-'26 we need losses. Lots of losses. Have only one FRP of significance this year and none next year so make this year's pick best possible.
I wouldn’t mind bringing him back on a cheaper deal because next yr team will be young and I’m sure we’ll be in the trade market this summer
The wrinkle that the Adelson/Dumont group can buy down M Cuban's current 27'% is interesting. One wonders if the price of his interest floats up or down or is fixed by the original sale price? Anyone know how these things work?
As a Mavs fan I hold no ill will to the Adelson/Dumont group. They blundered badly by trading Luka and admitted it. The current question is can they hold out long enough to see gambling legalized in Texas? It will be a minimum of two years before that can happen (Tx legislature does not meet this year). The governor and lt. governor are steadfastly opposed to legalizing gambling and both will likely be in office for at least 4 more years.
Maybe the Adelson/Dumont group take a back seat in the Mavs and keep their future options open re: casino/arena/resort complex. In other words take Cuban's money now for the team and keep the door open for the real estate deal.
