  1. Basketball offenses are operated by the point guards primarily. The missing part of the offenses has been the lack of a true point guard which Kyrie is one of the very best. So at least for next few years Kyrie will be the leader of the team until he decides to retire. The center position should be okay with Dereck Lively, Daniel Gafford, and Moussa Cisse. At forward there is Copper Flagg, PJ Washington, Naji Marshall, Caleb Martin, Kris Middleton, and Marvin Bagley. Three-point shooting and defense will be a big component of who gets the most playing minutes. At guard there Kyrie, Brandon Williams, AJ Johnson, Tyus Jones, Klay Thomps0on, and Ryan Nembhard. Ball handling and again three-point shooting will determine who gets to stay on this team.

  2. Cooper looks like a nice looking complimentary player, not a superstar to build around. Superstars include: Joker, Shai, Yannis, Wimby, Tatum, Brown, Maxey, Harden, Steph. etc. Not my intention to beat up on Flagg, but he has not accomplished anything in a half a season of his first year. All this talk about being the face of the franchise is ridiculous.

  3. I’m very glad they still want to keep Kyrie on the team and Kyrie wants to stay too. I wouldn’t be upset if he does decide he wants to go to a contender eventually though since he doesn’t have many years left.

  4. Kyrie is a stud you can use to create culture for decades to come. I see him as a mentor to the team and with 5 guys from Duke he is going to be revered. You have many other assets to use to move up if you just have to get a Boozer or Peterson. Gafford, PJ, Klay, Max, Naji, all have value to use and it is worth it for an upgrade into the top three.

Kyrie, Cooper plus Boozer would be a nightmare for other teams to face. then you can use Bagley and lively in there as well if you want an all Duke line up.

  5. I think Kyrie and Cooper are going to be pretty much unstoppable as long as you have a good supporting cast and they don’t have to be great. They just have to play their roles.

  6. The door hit AD in the butt on the way out of Dallas and he is now out for the season. The Injury Report has him listed as "Out for Season – gluteus maximus contusion"

  7. I think the trade was a salary dump. Also AD was always going to be the fall guy because he was the one they traded Luka for.

  8. Man it really feels like shit to talk about hypothetical things like this again after the recent years of success. Also I love Kyrie but he does have a weird cult behind him lol
Not like he was creating it on purpose but certain people literally worship him to the point LeBron glazers can feel some competition. Just a random thought from me

  9. Kyrie is my favorite player and the Dallas maverick is my life I’m from Dallas but they’re are rebuilding 🤦🏾‍♂️which is ridiculous since you were just in the finals , I think you should kyrie don’t ruin him

  10. Trust me kyrie and coop going to make each other better them two Will be a force on offense and klay also will be with kyrie on the floor kay is going be our six men all need a few more good role players we will be better

  11. They are not rebuilding, they are just shedding the worthless contracts and AD who is always injured. They have cleared close to max contact and if they can get someone who is an all-star that is reliable and not always injured, I would take that any day vs keeping AD and hoping he stays healthy. With this years draft pick, Cooper's 2nd year, Kyrie coming back, a max player signing, that is not rebuilding, that is all in, and dear God i hope Lively can have a healthy year next year.

  12. Love Kyrie but makes no sense to keep him here. They are rebuilding around Cooper. I think they will trade him before next season.
