Valencia avoided a slip-up in its fight for a top-four spot by easing past ASVEL 82-67 at home. Valencia put together a 10-2 spurt in the third quarter to open a 19-point lead and never looked back. The victory gives the Spanish side an 18-10 record, including a 12-2 mark at Roig Arena.
Darius Thompson and Jean Montero both had 14 points, and Kam Taylor and Brancou Badio each added 10 points. Last-placed ASVEL dropped its eighth game in the last nine to fall to 7-21, which includes a 1-12 record away from home. Edwin Jackson scored 20 points with 6 three-pointers, and Paul Eboua chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds.
