Meanwhile, Jose had a career night for the Knicks….We don't fkn deserve how this organization treats it's fanbase. I'm tired of waitin for Gayle to fkn die, just sell the shit.
Know it’s because the pelicans make bad switches you have Fears or Herb on Bam who runs the floor for a post up. That staring lineup I’m sorry was too slow for that Miami starting lineup but Miami has had the Pels number ie because of coaching. The better lineup would have been to pull Queen put Zion at center and put Fears at PG. Queen is too slow for teams that like to run like Miami. Just because one starting lineup works against one team doesn’t mean it works for other teams coaching has to be better at actually scouting other teams and adjusting. You also had very poor 3 point shooting night but that is normal and the lack of any kind of consistency on defense. There is nothing about this team that looks like a playoff team or that coaching will change that. So the front office has got to really have to self check themselves and moves.
I don't agree with two things, letting fears shoot 10 foot behind 3's looking like our JP look where he is now…..benched. it as frustrating seeing us down the fears running down 5 seconds into the shot clock launching it
We need Z man our wins would be in half if he wasn't playing, his numbers would be a lot higher if we didn't have 2 rookies in the lineup playing with him, it was so frustrating watching play after play seeing z cut to the basket and them missing him completely and looking for a three..mark my words if we trade Z and he gets veterans around him and a real PG these trade talks will be just like every player we have traded and done way better on the next team… If we are smart we will keep him and build around with a real center, and real PG.
I would've sent Poole and Missi to the clippers for Zubac and Chris pual. Just to get Chris paul to work with fears
@Melz Pelicans Digest I truly felt sorry for Fears, in spite of the poor refereeing,he's the only player who wanted to win. Played his ass off. But Borrego should have kept Looney in the last half. The only one who blocked out Bam. But I saw the same thing. Everyone gave up, and Murphy acted like LeBron, playing like he was hurt cause of no calls. But at least Borrego started stepping up for the team, which I thought would make the team bring some heat. No pun intended. Smh
@Melz Pelicans Digest Players 2day are soft. Even Bron. Not like the 70s 80s and 90s. Mike, Bird,Ike etc etc played with broken bones torched ankles, etc etc. Calls were few back then.
Spot on about the team needing to help Trey Murphy get loose. {14:08} Opens in a new window He’s at the top of every opponent's scouting report, and we aren't setting enough off-ball screens or rotating fast enough to give him an open look.
{14:14} Opens in a new window We can’t expect him to carry the offense while shooting over double teams every night.
Derek Queen is 6'10 but plays like a guard so we give up center help when he plays. Thanks Joe.
Same issues that exist with Zion also exist with Queen poor defense not much rebounding. Thanks Joe.
You have a rotation of players that don't play defense they get heavy minutes Queen and Jeremiah fears both get heavy minutes and don't play defense and queen is lazy he's always last getting back on defense his match up consistently beats him down the floor for easy dunk or put back or a mismatch
For trading Zion in the offseason his contract has already been partially guaranteed I believe 40% right now. This is really only an impact if we want to waive him. If we trade him his contract for next year will be guaranteed regardless.
