I actually wouldn’t mind Middleton imo
Nurcic and Love would both stretch the floor. But Nurcic would give us a level of toughness that Love can’t.
Regarding Gregg Popovich playing Jeremy Sochan more than Mitch Johnson had, Popovich had a different squad than Johnson's. Under Johnson, Sochan no longer fits now that the Spurs have Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, D'Aaron Fox, Carter Bryant, Dylan Harper, Luke Kornet, and a resurgent Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell.
I'm iffy about the Spurs getting Kevin Love because he's almost 40.

Nurkic would be better insurance at the 5 than Olynyk. He'd be worth it if the Spurs waive KO.
As for Sochan replacement, Highsmith makes a lot of sense.
For sure Spurs will get another guard.. spurs want to have a security "guard" agency..lol
Middleton played for Dallas tonite. He’s not on the buyout market I don’t think.

Fox making the ASG is nice and deserved. But even as a Spurs fan, I would have felt more compelled to watch the games if they chose The Villain for World Team replacement. Heheheh!!
FOXY deserves it. He got the skills. He don’t need to score a bunch rn coz every one can score in the team.
Sochan didn’t fit this squad and the future for clear reasons. This team has to start Castle, Fox, and Wemby who are average shooters. Harper and Vassell are as well. So they need forwards who can shoot. For most of the season, the best shooters have been Barnes, Champagnie, and Keldon. Sochan just didn’t fit.
Can trade for bitadze or naji marshall or draft & stash morez johnson jr or baylon muller for replacement for kornet,kj & barnes…gotta think long term
Jazz will not drop Nurkic from their line-up.
Bringing in Nurkic is a great idea imo. He'll spread the floor, has the size to be the 4 or 5, has incredible passing ability especially in the pick and roll, he can shoot when he needs to and he gets rebounds. Kornet is great at what he does off the bench and I feel that if we got Nurkic it'll relieve some pressure on our rotations. We would be set pretty much for all positions at that point
might sound like a reach but i would say patty mills, he was a big part of the culture in sa and i think he could be a amazing locker room guy and can bring back a little bit of that vintage spurs culture
I hope they get Nurkic.
