Thanks for ranking Minnesota so high. They are so frustrating to watch through an entire season with their effort and want every single game. They should easily have 10 more wins if they put in a little more effort in some games and stopped being so emotional. It's not a lack of talent, but they are such and emotional team. But here they are, sitting at the 6th seed in the west at the break. The pickup of AYO has given me new hope for another deep run in the playoffs, maybe even a Finals appearance.
Spurs have a real shot at the #1 seed..and ARE confident….that in itself should put them ahead of the Nuggets that have a difficult schedule remaining which will probably put them at the 4 seed! Homecourt does/should matter! Shaq already predicted the Spurs to win the WEST!

Wow, the Pistons hate is strong in these two. Detroit doesn't fit the mold of today's top teams so they MUST be a fluke. We'll see. I'd like to add, since it's only the regular season, Denver went easy on us in their 2 losses to us this season.

NY should be higher in the East. The Knicks are playoff risers. Adam is correct. Timpf isn't constructing an internally consistent argument, he's just vibe-checking individual teams in a vacuum. It's very reactionary. He talks about NY's "extensive playoff history" of defensive issues, while comparing them to teams that have worse playoff histories. Detroit has no history at all aside from NY (who they "dominated" in the regular season last season too). And Cleveland has an "extensive history" of shrinking and crashing out.

My thing about mares’ wolves take is that they’re inconsistent yet he excuse this time in the season as mostly fake. Go back two weeks ago and the wolves were the best team since the thanksgiving. Not only that but we aren’t really projecting how this team will play in the playoffs (the arguments for Denver are more apt than those for Cleveland).
