With all due respect to James Harden and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the biggest theme of this year’s trade deadline was that tanking teams like Washington, Utah, and Indiana made aggressive moves to position themselves for quick turnarounds next year. The possibilities for the 2026-27 Pacers and Jazz are exciting, but the Anthony Davis and Trae Young-led Wizards are a different story.

I'm a wolves fan but grew up in Maryland, this by far is the best well rounded wizards team in my lifetime (30yrs)
They have vets still capable of 25ppg young guys who can push the pace and a guard who rewards cutters.
This next draft will certainly set the stage for the next 8 years of Washington bball
Trae Young and drafting a young center who isn't always broken would have been a better plan than trading for Davis.
