  1. You know what I learned about the Israeli people, They can be so harsh compared to Americans. Yet Deni is much calmer than most Americans. Denis one of the most calm f**** people on this Earth. God he rules. I'm so glad he's on my Blazers

  2. Dude Denis English is so fcking good, and he didn't grow up with it like a lot of Europeans do, he learned it in his teens. Damnt I love him

  3. where is the reporter that asks him political questions like they do every other player? Oh wait, for some reason no one asks him.

  4. Full translation the questions in Hebrew (by me – from Hebrew to English).

Including a short summary in Hebrew to what was said in English.

    Reporter:

"Deni, how do you sum up your first All-Star appearance?

Also, your team (Trail Blazers) was represented with honor – DC (Donovan Clingan) and Yang (Hansen) in the Rising Stars game. Yesterday, Dame (Damian Lillard) won the 3-point contest, and you're on the main stage: How do you see the future of the team?"

    Deni:

"First of all, I think the team's future is very, very promising. We also have good young guys, and also some that are older, they have plenty of experience, and who are good players in this league. And overall, we have good human beings – I think it is the most important thing in a basketball team, and everyone compliments to each other, and it was an astounding experience today – one of the best I've ever had".

    Reporter:

"Deni, you said before the game that you were very excited, and that you are going to represent Israel.

Do you think you represented Israel with honor, and what do you want to say to the people at home?"

    Deni:

"I think I represented Israel with honor. You know, just being on this stage is already a big honor. I know that probably many people watched the game, cheered.

First of all, I want to tell you (the fans at home) that I love you.

Thank you for the support, and on the support and the help, and the push. In the end, it also helped me to reach to this game.

    Reporter:

    "Dani"

    Deni:

"Deni" (his name is written in the same way in Hebrew, some get confused, but it is a shame the reporter didn't do some homeword)

    Reporter:

"First of all it's important to say to you 'thanks' for the history that you made here, which is something that is so not taken for granted, and there are so many Israelis at home who watch you, and proud of you in so many levels, in levels I cannot even describe.

    What are your aspirations ahead?"

    Deni:

"The aspirations are to keep reaching into this (All-Star) game, to reach the playoffs with my team, to keep — just to keep improving as a player, to gather experience, to improve, to win titles. I don't really have a limit to what I can reach, and really only time will tell, but I'm enjoying the way, and that's the most important part, yes."

    Reporter:

    "Dani" (AGAIN FFS)

    Deni:

    "Deni"

    Reporter:

"Sorry. With Segol (Hebrew vowel sign for short 'e' sound).

    Deni:

    "Yes, please."

    Reporter:

"Deni, are you aware of the great excitment there was in the country (Israel), all these days, in the last few days?

Especially tonight, who are you with contact with in the last few hours?

Second question about the connection you had with the different great NBA stars that played alongside you in the Team World?"

    Deni:

"So I'll stay that I was trying to stay away a bit (from things unrelated to basketball), because this is a really exhausting weekend, and there are so many things I need to do, and obligations, and… — That's about it.

The connections/communications with other teams are great, everyone is complimenting you, hyping you up.

You know you are here by merit, not by grace, and reaching this game is huge honor, and that's it – only compliments.

    Thanks a lot"

    Reporter:

"Does during all this weekend all the bad moments in your career pass through your mind? Which you came over? How much does it goes through your mind when you go on the biggest NBA basketball stage there is?"

    Deni:

"You start remembering the moments which sometimes were less good, and you look, and proud of yourself for how you rise back up, and how you kept lifting yourself up, and bad or worse moments will be throughout the career.

You know, I'm not perfect, and I'll never will be, and the only thing I can do is to remain positive, keep working hard, and I always enjoy on winning the difficult times – to win (against) myself – every day anew.

To be on this stage and to see the way I've gone through is something very exciting"

    Reporter:

"Hi Deni. First of all, congratulations for arriving here (to this stage). And I wanted to know: When you went on the court, did you have any butterflies in your stomach?

If you did have, how long it took until you were out of this feeling, and you started playing basketball?

    Deni:

"I think that I woke up this morning with a bit of nervousness, but once I wore the jerseys in the locker room, and I was inside the arena, it already started feeling like a regular game for me.

You know, it is the first All-Star appearance, you don't really know what to expect, so you just go with the flow of the game, not really trying to think to go "all out". But yes, I played the best that I could, I took shots. That's it, I really enjoyed it – that's the most important part – to have fun.

I'm on a stage I don't find myself on every day, and this is a blessing, and being on this court and even simply running is an honor, it is fun. And that's it, I had fun – I am happy."

    Reporter:

"Hi Deni, News12, Israel has been waiting for a long, long time for such moment, and the Israelis tonight sat and watched (the game).

What message do you have for them?"

    Deni:

"First of all, thank you. Secondly, I've already answered this (note: yesterday). When I go on the court, I feel as if I go on the court with the entire nation alongside me, and that's fun. It's fun to represent, it's fun to show (that such a thing) is possible. Also for a small country likes ours. And that's it, I cannot thank enough for all the support I get – the messages, the love – I'm lost for words"

    Reporter:

"You've made this history, This is going in the history books for all eternity. I think that everyone in Israel who loves basketball will forever remember this moment, as of course you as well.

Which moment you are telling yourself that you won't forget, for sure?"

    Deni:

"I think that going entering the court for the All-Star players introduction, to step on this court, in Los Angeles, with the flag of Israel on the back, and when they call your name and present you – you can't forget it."

    Reporter:

"Hello Deni. This is a truly chilling moment to be in the crowd when they called your name, the announce that you are from Israel, with the flag of Israel on the screens.

Describe to us these seconds. Is it something internally? Is it something that brings chills? Is it to think about the parents, the family? What is going through

Excited Deni is nervously laughing (and smiling), and the reporter also caught up in it

(what is going through your head) just being there?

    Deni:

"I don't know if I thought as much about the parents, the family. I thought a lot more on playing basketball and enjoying the moment.

I looked around, I understood where I got it into, and I know there are plenty of things ahead, but overall just having fun. I think that's all I wanted – simply smiling, to get to meet new players, to get to meet new people, to say that 'I've made it'.

And now only to repeat it – that's all I can ask"
