Sean Luka saying what front office wants to hear. To know if a team can win a title or not one must be a champion to know. That said Luka talking shit bc he not a Champion. Bron is an NBA Champion x4. 23 years. Bron emphatically declared that this was not a championship team. I believe him. He knows. Brons basketball IQ is vastly higher than Lukas. So talk all the shit you want. But this current roster is a 1st round knock out and that is on the Hands of Rob Pelinka. Lakers currently are 9th in team defense over the last 5 games. JJ DANTONI Finally woke up and remembered he had Vando on the team. I agree Luka and Austin have an immeasurable ceiling but a very low floor as well. If they can play healthy and utilize Lebron more to facilitate we could shock everyone. 😁😁
The stars need to be staggered and minutes restricted so that when they’re on the court, they’re with good defenders, and they have more energy themselves for defense.
Lakers have the depth to do this.
It may mean, taking some losses as Vanderbilt, Lavia and others are developed.
The problem in the playoffs will be at Center again, unless 18 changes and/or Maxi can stay healthy. Maybe Hayes has given enough weight and experience so that coach will play him.

I think players should be a bit delusional, and think they can win every game. It pushes them forward and is good for the team.
When it comes to Luka, Ar, LeBron playing with each other, a big part of it is that most of it has been with Rui as well, which is just one of JJ most retarded rotations, and he has quite a few of those. It's the same thing as last szn, it didn't work. However, when you added DFS in there and LeBron switched his role and it was Luka – AR doing a lot of actions together with drive and kicks etc it worked wonderfully, and they had DFS as the onball defender to give them time to get back on defense etc. Rui is not gonna be close to what DFS did for them last szn, and as I said LeBron has a drastically different role.
With that said, not a big fan of how LeBron plays off Luka. They did some screen actions several months ago that were great, but they basically stopped doing screen actions at all when they were the best team at doing it, possibly to find other options that would work for the playoffs.
Luka generally has been shafted with the rotations, he is the most blitzed guy, but hasn't had a 2nd ball handler for the vast amount of time this szn, and got a lot of Vando – Hayes combos that are anti-synergistic (instead of Vando – Ayton or Maxi), and Gabe, Knecht, Jake, which just doesn't make any sense. However, when given Smart or AR, basically every rotation worked. Best being when they used both; Luka, Smart, AR, Rui Hayes/Ayton.
The team has been injured a lot, and it's a big issue, but JJ has been my biggest annoyance this entire szn. Horrible rotations, way too high usage with high demand, schemes has been confusing a lot of the players, and we have seen a lot of big mistakes because of it. Switches have basically been a 99% bucket for the other team, you had the Rui meme of LeBron and Luka yelling at him to move, and Jake running into the drive lane blocking his own player, not being able to play with advantage when Luka is blitzed- double teamed, mostly because of not having a guy like Smart, or AR that can find space and then use it. Vando was especially damaged, but Gabe a bit as well by JJ's demand of them to be players they aren't and put into position they just can't do well with. Gabe ended up being horrible the entire szn except for 2 games, I think, but maybe that could have been different with a better coach.
When it comes to a chance of doing well in the playoffs and maybe winning it all, they need to be healthy, some changes to rotations to maximize their players, get them sorted on switches, and communication in general. Somehow maximize Ayton's defense and Rui's consistency, and then maybe most importantly, get the correct matchups. 😀
