NBA don’t want kings with a top pick. Silver is a douche. Why not just have every team in the in the play in. The play in spot was ok for the first couple years only. It’s getting out of hand now.
official "Tanking" rules only apply to resting healthy NBA superstars… especially during national TV games…. the Kings, Jazz, Wizards etc… cellar dwelling teams have tank immunity… no superstars, not on TV
The Kings actually tanking for a week was a step too far for the league.
🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ I hate that now that SACRAMENTO is using the tank method all of a sudden it’s too much tanking but the Pistons were 5 of 55 just a couple seasons ago and nobody said anything 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ The Spurs got #1 #2 AND #3 pick in CONSECUTIVE SEASONS!!! 😒😒😒 And the league was quiet 😒😒😒🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
In the short term, the league could offer stronger incentives to teams that reach the playoffs to help them sustain and build on their success. For instance, say, playoff teams might be granted additional salary cap flexibility, enabling them to keep key contributors or add more high-quality role players.
Over the long term, the NBA could explore transforming the G League (or develop one from scratch) into a European-style second division with a promotion and relegation system. Such a structure would discourage intentional tanking by imposing real consequences for prolonged underperformance, such as relegation and potential loss of revenue-sharing benefits.
Adam Silver is cancer, he needs to go back to gringots
At the end of the day, I think everyone can tell the Kings are tanking because they are bad. The problem is really the hawks putting new players out and jazz for benching their stars in the 4th Q.
Man, I enjoyed this segment because everyone's coming down on the Kings for losing but they need to be losing now because they're not going to be signing a bunch of stars to come to Sacramento for the endorsement deals. So mid-market teams have to tank. The problem is the betting thing. That's what people are pissed about. At least the kings are doing it the right way.
when was the last time utah got a #1 pick? oh thats right they never had a #1 just like sac who has had 1 #1 pick in there sacramento era and one #2 pick….so sad
Just do the draft straight up but create a tank metric based on how often your most productive players are sitting on the bench. Of course you can weight young players recently drafted differently than guys on the decline. But this would allow the actual worst teams to get the best players in the draft without screwing over horrible franchises like us
Test all players before every game No player can miss more than 3 games due to rest per year!
What about the Gold Plan?
o
"I want to sink to the bottom with you, the ocean is big and blue, I just wanna sink to the bottom with you …. slap on the wrist for Ballmer
what about the gambling scams the coaches and teammates were doing?
So the Kings will get f*cked in the draft because NOW the league is “concerned” about tanking? The Kings have made many mistakes, sure, but the league seems to hate the Kings with a passion!
The draft is rigged. The Mavericks will get a top 3 pick this year to go with Flag just like the league did with Wemby. Stop rigging the draft and the bad teams get better. If gambling is the problem then stop the gambling but that’s where the money is at. Make a bet on the mavericks moving up in the draft.

Put 5 different dates in a hat and at the end of season draw out one of the dates, for example December 1, January 1, February 1, March 1, end of season date, so if you draw out March 1 then go by the standings on that date, that would take care of the problem for the most part,
Base draft on average of three years winning percentages. No team would want to have the worst record 3 years in a row. They would lose the fanbase. Worst gets first. Also only the top 4 have a chance at #1. Nobody beyond #4 should have a shot at the first pick. The second pick is the ceiling for teams 5-10. And the rest that are in the lottery can only move up to the 3rd pick at best.
Adopt a relegation system. The worse team from each conference get relegated to tye G league and the two best teams from the G league promoted to the league and those two teams get the first and second pick. Or put 30 balls in a box numbered 1 to 30 and each team picks a ball and that is the draft order. There would be no incentives to be poor or tank to get the number one pick.
The fact is…..the only way bad small-market teams improve is through the draft. They desperately need talent in a talent-driven league, and if the league circumvents them through a lottery system that awards teams like the Mavericks (which looks rigged tbh), who were 14th last year, with the #1 pick, then what do you expect from these bad teams? Perhaps, they should go to a NFL type of draft where they draft from worst to best, but teams can only draft in the top 4 in 3 years (or only twice in a 3-year span because some drafts are weak). There needs to be more parity, so all teams are fun to watch. I think the lottery system is a complete failure because it doesn't help the teams that desperately need help.
Why is everyone blaming UTAH?
