I realize you guys aren't CBA people, but the Sixers have almost 2.27 left on their 5.685 M taxpayer MLE after using 3.415 M to sign Barlow.
The t-MLE decreases in value by 13 K each day since the trade deadline (2.27/174 days in season).
This means that Sixers can offer much more than a minimum to sign these guys, giving an advantage over some teams. The prorated minimum decreases with each day and depends on whether having an option for next season or just for the rest of the season. If for rest of the season it is (2.296 M x 60/174) = 0.79 M as of today.
With the Sixers being 1.576 M under the Tax, it is only possible to end up under the Tax by signing two such cheap contracts – just barely.
But if Sixers use any of the t-MLE, they will finish OVER the LT and Josh Harris won't receive a payment of about 4.6 M, which is no big deal.
If I was Josh Harris, I would want to finish ABOVE the Tax, just to prove he wasn't cheap.
Without Embiid the team had a true power 'Brown Out'. I'm curious how much of his absence in the last two had to do with the McCain trade (if any) 🤔? Was nice to see Jared had a good game last night & OKC getting back to their winning ways (with all 12 players contributing 8+ minutes, that's a deep team). Predict the 76er's end up with the last pick in the first round for the McCain trade. Think will go down as one of the worst deals in the teams history 😮💨.

do you think Jose Alvarado's performance with the Knicks was due to PEDs? We saw this when he was pitching with the Phillies and he got suspended for 80 games.
I think the reason that they were so let down was because they didn't do anything at the All-Star break and they let one of the better players go. That told the players that this organization is not serious about winning the championship

You know once a Philly fan always a Philly fan. Why does it always look like we have the best chance both for the Eagles and Sixres and all of a sudden boom! Implosion!
We know what happened to the Eagles offense last season loaded with all talent in JH1, SB26, AJ11 and Skinny leaper…. with all that and KP screwing up everything.
Now we got the Sixers with the best talent in the league in a long time and an owner whose mind is with the Commanders in DC and once again Joel Embiid about to fall on his face come the playoffs with all the talent he has around him. Sixers as an organization need to look at their roster and rotations and coaching strategies otherwise we shall not make it deep into the playoffs
I feel bad for Embiid and now am worried about VJ because his rookie number are not were they are supposed to be with his talent. And Tyrese Maxey who might burn out before he reaches his potential because I don't think that boy has touched the ceiling yet.
Joel Embiid is the best thing to happen to Philly after Allen Iverson now with Tyrese Maxey and Edgecombe we should be unbeatable. We lack a good coach not Nick Nurse. With such a trio we should be a scary team in the league. Not a maybe-maybe not. Period!!!!

It was all about ducking the luxury tax. In the process they got worse. They're going to have to get better drafting starters at 20 and later. Maybe at those salaries they'll be able to stay below the luxury tax.
