  1. Do you feel Sean Marks is the right man to lead the Brooklyn Nets through their current rebuild? Why or why not?

  2. @LockedOnNets This needs to be said:

Sean Marks had a heavy burden when he took over a team with no draft capital no core pieces and no future and managed in 3 years to turn a hopeless team into a fun scrappy culture team.

But Sean Marks who once had a sign outside his office that said "No Shortcuts" took the biggest one ever trying to assemble a once in a lifetime all star trio of Kevin Durant Kyrie Irving and James Harden who sadly only played 16 games together and were destroyed by internal toxic egotistical personalities, a global pandemic and NY protocols that led to Kyrie causing a lot of internal turmoil that led to Harden asking OUT which hurt given the price Marks paid in 4+ first round draft picks ๐Ÿ˜จ for a year and a half rental of Harden ๐Ÿง….

The pivot was horrible by Marks in trading a star talent in Harden for a FISHERMAN and injury prone Ben Simmons which financially handicapped Brooklyn greatly and further pushed KD and Kyrie to ask out and ended a FAILED championship pursuit ๐Ÿง.

Again Marks has shown he can recycle draft capital such as turning Kevin Durant into 4 first round draft picks and turning Bridges who came back in the KD trade into an insane SIX first round draft picks ๐Ÿ˜จ ๐Ÿง.

But Marks draft record up until this point has been very overrated and has led to some unfortunate failures ( Dariq Whitehead and Cam Thomas) ๐Ÿง. But his inability to build a SUSTAINABLE roster for TEN years in which he's had only ONE playoff win has been a disaster and no other GM with his resume would have employment in the NBA ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿง.

What's more worrisome about Marks is his inability to build solid relationships with the talent in which they don't want to commit to Marks vision long term( Kevin Durant Kyrie Irving James Harden Mikal Bridges and Cam Thomas) ๐Ÿง….

Ultimately Brooklyn does need a new GM with a vision and a plan to build a sustainable roster that can STAY together for multiple years and not keep changing and getting dissolved every few years ๐Ÿง….

  3. Biggest problem with Sean Marks is his inability or phobia with not wanting to draft 7 foot centers ๐Ÿง…

Brooklyn had a golden opportunity to draft a legit center this summer and Marks mostly drafted guards which was a missed opportunity ๐Ÿง…

Marks small ball philosophy with having an undersized big switch defender like Claxton just doesn't work in this NBA era anymore ๐Ÿง….

Plus Brooklyn hasn't had a legit center since Jarrett Allen ๐Ÿ˜•….

  4. Joe Tsai needs to do the right thing and hire a NEW GM ๐Ÿง…

Sean Marks ultimately doesn't have the leadership or versatile GM skills to be a effective GM that can build a SUSTAINABLE roster long term ๐Ÿง.

He had TEN years to build a winning team in Brooklyn and he didn't and something needs ro change ๐Ÿง…..

  5. The fact Jeff Peterson left Brooklyn as a assistant GM and in 3 years as the GM of Charlotte has brought them into winning with a young squad while Marks is still flailing after ten years in charge is shocking ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿง….

  6. If the owner fired the GM in the middle of a rebuild Iโ€™d be very concerned. I wanted marks gone in 2024 but we already committed to him. See it thru the draft class is looking good so far

  7. 3 biggest Sean Marks blunders:

    1) Traded for James Harden and traded James Harden for a failed injury prone former #1 lottery pick/fisherman in Ben Simmons ๐Ÿ˜จ ๐Ÿ™„.

    2) Hired his buddy Steve Nash who was a useless coach and quickly lost the confidence of what was supposed to be a championship roster.

    3) Didn't enforce a proper tank last year and kept Dennis Doe and Johnson too long which cost Brooklyn a top 5 lottery pick last season ๐Ÿง….

  8. Look at Detroit Pistons. They were worse than the Nets just a couple of seasons ago, but now they are a solid team but Nets are in eternal misery.

  9. I believe in Marks … The majority of you weren't here for Billy King or Rod Thorn. So I'll leave it that. He's doing a phenomenal job with what he does. Every time you wanted him to hit the home runs he did. When he needed to suture the open wounds he did, and still we didn't leave empty handed.

  10. I feel like Marks tries to outsmart everyone when it comes to drafting and has the habit of holding on to players for way too long. The team kinda decided on a direction when they traded Mikal. Iโ€™ll give marks credit there but this where we have to ride along with him. At this point, itโ€™s just whatever

  11. I know Sean Marks is a good GM cause half of Nets twitter wants him gone. Same Nets twitter that crashed out cause we cut Killian Hayes and later on Dariq Whitehead and Kobe Bufkin, and cause we didn't sign Cam Thomas to a max contract.
