Am I the only one who thinks Kawhi wasn’t talking about the team in totality? It felt pretty clear to me he was talking about FVV, Siakam and Norm.
I don’t anyone was calling them talented in 2018, we were calling them grinders and work horses. I think that’s what Kawhi was trying to say.
Literally thought to myself as I'm about to start a suite reno 'I hope RR uploaded this morning to make this a chill start to the day' and this is the first thing I see in my feed. You guys never disappoint! 💪🏻
Khawhi is correct if you are thinking in context of superstars. Clearly no one was of that level, which is why he carried them. Therefore, he called them hard workers. It's accurate. Raptors were a blue collar team, no superstars but they will out work you.
Was it ever revealed what the issue was with Ulrich Chomche? Raptors are way over due having some luck picking and developing a big.
I feel the league just adjusted to what Gradey had to offer and just gets killed because they scouted him out so much as being "lethal" so he's just bit able to shine. Perhaps with the right supporting staff he could shine on another team? I feel with how the Raptors play it's just not us which is weird because we need these 3pt shooters. Or its just his Defense is booty 😂🤷🏾♂️
This response from Kawhi feels more like him being in defensive/PR-mode than an honest reflection on his teammates in TO.
Kawhi needs a way to justify choosing the clippers instead of rejoining the raps after winning a championship. In reality, the reason was he was promised a lot of under-the-table money from the clippers organization. But that obviously isn't something he can say to media considering they are all under investigation.
So, when asked about his old teammates in TO, he's just primed to give this canned, basketball reason why he didn't rejoin the raps. Admittedly, it's not a great reason considering they JUST won a championship, but it's a smart response if Kawhi wants people to think he joined the clippers for basketball reasons and not just wanting more money.
Kawhi is just so soft centered. He likes to think that he didn’t have help winning that chip and that he did it on his own. Just arrogance.
I think Kawhi said what he said because he want everyone to think that he left Toronto for better talent not because clippers were paying him under the table 😂
Kawhi is a sorry POS…Hasn't won anything with Clips and that makes me very happy.
31:39 "SGA isn't going to be destroying Ja'Kobe Walter." Seems Tre then wasn't paying attention when we last played the Thunder (in OKC) and Ja'Kobe held Shai to 11 field goal attempts for 24 points.
